Shoque, what made you disappointed on mgs4? Is it because there wasn't too much stealth involved? MGS4 was the first one I played and I loved it so much, cried at the end….I've been meaning to play them in order but I haven't gotten around to it

Possibly the best franchise in gaming history.

It was just once big cut-scene and the story was really absurd. I still don't grasp the story of the MGS universe in its entirety to be honest, but the plot didn't make sense regarding the first 3 parts. Also, the 4th part didn't have this whole myth-feeling to it imho, it's hard to describe. It's different if you start with 4, I played them in order.
The game itself was great (minus the neverending cutscenes), but it felt like a MGS spin-off.
The trailer regarding Ground Zero was superb imho, especially the music, really feels like it would somehow go back to the roots, but I am not sure the actual game will feel like the old ones:
The atmosphere of the video with the desperate yet happy melody is astonishing.Possibly the best franchise in gaming history.

Japanese quality.
BTW, are the 2 portable MGS games worth a playthrough?

Maybe it's just me but I think bioshock infinite was hyped up too much. It was a good came but I had no clue that there would be no replay value…just starting the game completely over after you beat it with no upgrades, money, etc? Come on! I'm surprised no reviews really mentioned that after you beat it the first time the only thing that would really keep you coming back is DLC that you have to pay for

Seul, I'm having a similar dilemma myself with GTA V, Saints Row IV, and Killer is Dead all releasing imminently.
I also just played through Gone Home. It has some of the best story telling I've seen in game in a long time. You play as the older daughter in a family that has just come back home from a year long trip to Europe, but when you arrive the house is empty and you have to explore the house to find out why. The narrative of your family over the last year reveals itself as you make your way through the house and examine the bits and pieces of their life that are scattered around. Only real downside is it's only around a 2 hour experience…
