is the test run due to a limited amount of fabric right now?
being a small-business owner, exercising caution before investing the considerable capital demanded to initiate a full production run of a new product?
i noticed in a thread about an upcoming denim jacket; in the course of discussing offering multiple variations/styles, various forum members assuring you that selling the product quickly would be no issue. you then explained experiencing sales in the past which fell short of your projections.
if i recall correctly, one of the products was a denim jacket with the rugged, first-class construction Iron Heart takes pride in, an 18oz. unsanforized denim that would provide advantages in terms of evo and "customizing" or molding the jacket to the body, and your intuition/taste on when a product will be a "hit" combined with forum members/consumers reinforcing your opinion that the jacket would, if not become an IH classic a la the 634s, at the minimum justify the investment necessary to finance whatever # of jackets constitutes the minimum Works Inc. requires you to order for production.
i turned this post into something quite different than my original intent for posting. i think the reason had something to do with how badass these jeans will be, especially if done in the 634s cut(guess vulcan would be ok). also, hopefully not "too expensive", as i am your broke college student straight outta central casting, and the 4 items i own from IH/TW are all too rich for my blood, even though i bought them all either second-hand or heavily discounted.

We are making one roll of the fabric, to see how it looks, how it sews etc etc. If we like it (and it is not silly expensive), we will go into production, possibly with some tweaks.
At the moment, what we may or make actually make out of this denim has not been decided.

Oh, and sales pitch: willing to wear for months straight, in no rotation with anything else…
Nononoooo, you're doing it wrong. Here's an incentive for the G-man: Willing to wear each of the recent denims on a different weekday.
Mon: 666S-RAW, Tue: TW-666N, Wed: 666I/I, Thu: 666L, Fri: 666S-19L -
I think the idea to potentially use this denim for a "work pants" cut is even more brilliant, now.
Boom!
-
is the indigo√ peach fuzzy like the indigo/cream? the work pant idea is great, now to figure out the pattern as i'm sure some will want a full leg & others a bit more tappered leg.
will patiently wait for the indigo√ devils

Is this a sanforized denim (guessing so) but just curious

Damn that looks sweet. Fuck work pants - denim was made for jeans. Bring on the 634, 666, or whatever.
Love your work.
what do you think about denim jackets, vests, hats, bags, wallets, etc. ?

Yeah I know where you're coming from Finn. I guess I'm a stick in the mud. I think denim hats, bags and wallets are already going too far. There's no practical reason to be making that stuff out of denim, it's just aesthetics. I'm worried that IH may one day be producing tea towels, underwear, or lunch boxes. If so, I'm gone. I love IH, and although I'm not resisting change for the sake of it, I hope there are some boundaries.
