Well, in my eyes he's not done much so far… I suppose there's plenty of time yet. I know that Stoke will never trouble the top 4 or 5. And that the Europa League is the best we can hope for, but is it wrong to hope for a better finish year on year? And something other than the 'rugby team' of English football ??
-
Certainly not wrong to aspire mate, but English football is in a rut and none of us are going to challenge the money clubs for a long, long time.

Sad but true. Seeing how Bayern took Man City apart also shows a gulf in ability that they haven't managed to address despite their billions. As a Norwich fan it'll be the same hope of staying in the top flight for another season, although our goal difference certainly suffered at the weekend. Was great seeing Newcastle take 3 points from the Chelsea match, which added to list of the games where the 'top' teams have dropped points. Hopefully it'll keep things nice and close for the end of the season.
With regards to Stoke, anyone is better than Tony Pulis right?
-
ponders the futility of trying to find good things to say about Pulis
Yes ok, you have a valid point there…
-
Isn't there the possibility of him going to Crystal Palace? I hope i'm wrong, for their sake!
-
Aren't Palace in enough trouble at the moment?? What have those poor bastards done to deserve that possibility… Unless it's being used as a threat: "Start climbing that League table or else..."
-
devils to pip gunners on sunday!

Arsenal are currently playing some beautiful football, it's been a while but I genuinely enjoy watching them again. Wilshire, Ozil and Ramsey are worth the ticket price alone, and I don't think anyone should underestimate the impact of Flamini to give them some much needed stability.
Man Utd, their squad is old is old in many areas and unbalanced, it's a huge period of transition for the club and I haven't seen them play particularly well so far this year either. However, they are Man Utd and that always means that you would be stupid to bet against them.
I predict an open match, some good football played, and Arsenal to win 2 - 1.
Newcastle are away at Spurs this week and I predict an "after the Lord Mayors show" kind of performance where Spurs pick up a steadily efficient 3 - 0 victory.
-
How about those Foxes, 2nd in the Championship… heading back to the Premier League! Probably. Possibly.
Best news I got this week, managed to World Cup 2014 tickets for the first 4 games in Sao Paulo. Can't wait... once in a lifetime as can't imagine myself going to Russia or Qatar, and will be too old for football after that.
-
Congrats BK, thats going to be an amazing experience.
Yeh, the Foxes are away at Forest tomorrow and my work place is full of Forest fans…...they are not anticipating it going well.
-
Mega, remember that Alan Shearer full on kick to the face of Neil Lennon at Filbert Street many years ago? Can't wait to see that historic, passionate, steeped in history Newcastle vs Leicester rivalry rekindled when we get promoted. (lol)
-
To be fair, the ginger twat deserved it
-
well arsenal has been playing really well this season, league and CL. however i feel the pressure's on moyes to make sure he pull's off a win or even a draw on this one.
-
Adam Lallana's goal for Southampton yesterday was absolutely amazing.
-
oh i don't wanna start on the united game…..
-
I see Stoke managed to snatch defeat (almost) from the jaws of victory today. 2-0 up by half-time and then 3-2 down until the 95th minute… I can see relegation looming if we keep this up. August was the last time we actually won anything. Until today Begovic was joint top scorer...
Oh well, I suppose there's time yet.
-
I'm just pleased that it looks like Pardew is going to have a lucky season again. We learn at Newcastle that skill and tactics have nothing to do with anything, it is pure and simple blind luck
The Man U/ Arsenal game was absolutely dreadful, I don't think Arsenal would have scored if they were still playing now.
-
MorP, I do fear for Stoke. Especially as Sunderland appear to have woken up and Palace actually played quite well yesterday, and Norwich got a decent win too. Bad times ahead mate I fear.
-
England Vs Germany, may the worst team (England) win
