IHJ-14 - Heavy Duck Award Jacket in Navy or Beige
-
These are quite bitchin. I'd like to see some more fit pics too.
What happens, and I do this too, is people get their new IH and then boogie off into the sunset and forget about all of us sitting on the fence. -
is this the same duck as on the work pant?

XXL
Get your normal size if you want to layer with a hoodie. Size down if you want a slimmer fit. I def think I could fit an XL but I wouldnt be able to layer much.

how warm is it?
good enough to work as winter jacket (just wearing a t and hoodie/heavy flannel under it!)?Wearing an Iron Heart tee and Iron Heart Hoodie under it in the pic. At first I thought it wasn't very warm but I just walked around for a bit and it's fairly warm. It's about 35F(2C) here, I had a t-shirt and SH-23 on underneath and I was sweating.

curious about the arm length …is the measurement right to the end of the elastic wrist band ? which is probally about 1.5-2 inchs ?so if I'm a 26 sleeve could I get away with a 28 ?

I was able to see this jacket in person yesterday at Self Edge and it is an amazing jacket. The outer shell is super windproof and made of a very hefty cotton duck fabric. The knitted cuff construction is similar to the MF Deck jacket / Buzz Rickson MA-1 in that it forms a tight seal on your wrist but moves freely should you need the extra length. The troy blanket lining gives warmth and the satin lining makes you never want to take it off from your arms.
The zipper is rock solid and you will need to exert a good pull to zip it up (I was afraid of breaking that thing).I tried a Large and it fits like a glove. It is similar to my other jacket (Stevenson Reversible Cadet Jacket) but this one is on steroids.
Hope this review makes you wanna get it. Hopefully, by the time I get to save up, there'll be one in the internetz.

Wore this last night in 28F(-2C) weather in 30mph+ winds which made it a "real feel" of 5F(-15C). I had a t-shirt and Gitman Lightweight flannel on underneath and it kept me quite warm.
