I thought the TW-666N would be my first Works Inc denim, but my girlfriend thinks the more tapered lower leg of the IH-555-01 will look better on me.
So a size 31 will be making its way to me and I'm really looking forward to finally having the signature 21 oz denim in my hand, especially after spending an unhealthy amount of time ogling it on this forum.

Congrats

No idea, I have not placed an order with Haraki yet. The aim is always to get the same size for each batch, but growing cotton, weaving denim and making clothes is a little like making wine. Year after year, you do what appears to be the same thing but the results are different…

IH-555-01 is my first experience of heavyweight denim from any manufacturer, so here is another satisfied first-timer review for people thinking about buying Iron Heart's signature 21 oz denim.
Weight & comfort - the weight and feel is about what I expected after much reading. They were comfortable straight away, not stiff at all, and I could easily do manual labour in them. Thick creases form behind the knees when I sit, but there is enough room so they are not uncomfortable at all.
Sizing & stretch - I bought a size 31 which measured 32.4" at the waist before wearing, using Iron Heart's measuring method. After just one evening's relaxed wear (with belt) the waist stretched to 33.0". If I pull on the waistband while measuring them, they stretch fractionally more than that. So if you have a muscly or voluptuous rear end (or hips) don't worry because these jeans are roomy in the top block and stretchy, just as the experienced people here say they are. There is more than enough room for my smallish backside.
Breathability - worn indoors, in a very well heated room, they feel breathable and comfortable. When it is close to freezing and windy outside I can feel the wind coming through the weave, but the denim is much warmer than my previous lightweight jeans.
Button fastening - they are a lot easier to button and undo than the "sore thumbs" anecdotes on the forum led me to believe. By the fifth time I buttoned them, every button went in effortlessly. Unbuttoning them is more difficult, but becomes easier each time.
Indigo bleed - although the 21 oz denim is silicone coated to reduce indigo bleed, I thought there would still be some colour transfer. There has been none at all in the ten days I've worn them so far. I rubbed my fingers up and down the legs to see if they would get a hint of blue from the abrasion, but could not see any. I've worn light grey and white t-shirts tucked into the waistband a few times and there is no trace of indigo on any of them.
Thanks to all the people here who post pictures and eventually convinced me to get these, but especially the following 'models': hasty, joesaintjohn's wife, Soi, Deebo, Tomlogy and Bluegrass.
