Watches - another OCD problem

Panerais are common. Get something worth having…...Go to a SE party and every single person is wearing one, Not cool....
Still better than a Rolex, on the most part IMO. Every person @ a SE party is also wearing denim too tho? (I know what you mean, but maybe it is reflective of quality, more so than sheeple?)

Panerai has some nice pieces like the fiddy, 372, Cali, slytechs, pre-a's and their vintage pieces with rolex movements from wwII or later. But chances you get them for a reasonable price are probably zero and it can be pretty hard to get at these watches.
For those interested in vintage panerai i can recommend the books from Ralf Ehrlers and Volker Wiegmann
I like the concept of the brand especially the historical line and the strap thing might make even more fun than the watch itself
i had two panerais a sub 24 from a very early batch with polished bezel and a blackseal radiomir over the years. Have gone through lots of watches during the last 7 years, some traded in some sold all was fun, now i am with my iPhone. Very cool too

I own 2 of them PAM. The 000 and the 111. Mostly my decision is based on the History of the watch itself also the straight forward face and the size of the watch as I have a bit big circumference. Also like David has mentioned, the strap game is also addicting and fun as well.
But I buy what I like and don't care much what people say or think of my taste ;-). But if you appreciate Japanese craftsmen and precision go and get a Grand Seiko. Top notch in finishing and time keeping.
On a side note, 'Rolex For Climax' hehehe
