great job al6ert. if you get a moment can you give a rough history (time worn, washes, etc).
i always admire folks who stick with their denim for the long haul, i tend to rotate too many pairs & try different denims & cuts before any pair can really bloom

Sure thing. I put a year and half of everyday wear on them after purchasing them 3.5 years ago. Since then, I only occasionally wear them as my INDO’s and 07BKs get the brunt of my attention. I’d say over the past 2 years, I’ve probably worn them in aggregated of two additional months. They are my fullest cut jean and probably my most well-worn pair. I don’t believe that I initially soaked them, but for the better part of their first year, I hand washed them (approx. three times). Since then, I’ve turned them inside-out, machine washed, and hung dry (approx. three additional times). So yeah, I’d say: 1 year, 8 months of wear and 6 washes. As far as wear is concerned, I wouldn’t say that I’ve worn them particularly hard, but I am pretty city active: walking, biking, etc. As with all my pairs, I make sure that they see a handful of hiking and mountain biking trails. They’ve always been super comfortable and ridiculously breathable. I wouldn’t hesitate to wear these in the hottest of weather and that’s why I (default) recommend the 21 oz. IH flagship denim to anyone that is new to heavy weight jeans. I’d expect similar fading results from others that wear their 634s as long as I have, but I could never put a price on them as they feel uniquely mine and make everything I wear (with them) look good.

I just bought a pair of new 634S from dragon's sales thread.
They're gonna be my work pair so I expect exponentially greater wear than my 666XHS get. My time with the 666XHS is currently like a bad cellphone plan: nights and weekends only. As far as the 634s, I install ductwork systems and I anticipate the crawling in attics and crawlspaces will facilitate the break-in process.
I'll post some fit pics when I try these on for more than 2 minutes, but I have to say that I already liked the way they fit. I find them to be relatively slim for a "straight" cut. While I definitely prefer the 666 fit, the additional room these offer will be perfect for working. And that little bit extra on the hem will probably let me slip these over my clunky Timberland Pros.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to putting some miles on this pair and I'll keep you guys posted on the evolution.

PBS , good grab and plan. My 666XHS are still to constricting for work. I'm sure I lost money, they hindered my movement My blk 2634's will be my next work pair….maybe

Yep, I hear you, man. I contemplated getting another pair of 666XHS and sizing up, but the thigh and hem would still be too tight.
I was actually thrilled with the fit of the 634s. I was worried they'd be too baggy, but they were spot on for my liking.
I wore them to work today for the first time and I was very happy with them.
They are definitely more generous giving up the indigo than the XHS.
