Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
-
I've got 2 ideas, one of which I'm pretty sure has been done somewhere already, the other of which is pretty unlikely:
1. IH stickers- I just got a new laptop and I want to personalize it. Some small ones that would fit on a cell phone would be cool, too.2. Kids size jeans- they'd have to be a lot lighter weight denim, though. The idea of my 2 year old struggling to move in 21 oz jeans just makes me laugh. Maybe logger style, with the double knees, since kids kill knees so quickly. Kids jeans are so cost prohibitive, since the labor is the same and the volume is so much lower.

@mvb:
henleys!
Sounds like maybe you should start a TW Products Idea thread and put this there…
why?

Got stickers here. Next time youi order something, remind me and I'll pop em in the package. Giles
Crap, should have posted this last week. Then you could have tossed some in with the rest of my stuff. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait a few months until the next round of gear.

I know that the Triple Works label is intended to be for lighter weight denim, leaving the heavy stuff under the Iron Heart name, but is there a firm dividing line between the two? Like TW will never go over 17oz and IH will never go under 18oz, or is it decided more on a model by model basis, as in, "we have this great idea for a pair of jeans , it would match up really well with the TW line, so let's not use 21oz denim"?
Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, but the mention of 17oz denim got me thinking about it.

@J:
Still holding out for an IH heavy duty pullover, perhaps melton wool lined with a lighter weight denim (reversible would be very cool and show Haraki's genius for finish). Didn't I read somewhere, Giles, that you had a "shed-load" of 16 or 18 oz.? Also, perhaps Will could provide some leather somewhere.
Cosmo, I like the way you think and what's up Haraki-San?!?!? Is Nigel Cabourn passing you by?

I have an Alpha Industries one that was cheap and is official. I also have the MFSC Denim version but could always be persuaded by an IH version if the fit was on point and it had some special features to it. I have a bunch in mind but will keep them to myself unless this idea comes to fruition…

peacoat?
i have a schott and a spiewak but for some reason i think IH would make the most bad ass peacoat.
I would be all over that.

Thanks, Landon–this Forum's members collectively have some great ideas and a place to air them out. I have a regulation pea coat, but just imagine one made from that super heavy blue wool that Haraki has access to. The 80/20 stuff of my coat is crap, but it's all there is on the market.
Here's some ideas on pullovers:

Sitting here musing again…I'd like to see a 634S or 9634 pocket on or in the appropriate messenger bag. Also, I'd like to see the leather tag detail from the 634S embossed across the tan calf wallet.

How about laptop cases? Lined with ultra heavy weight flannel to protect the hardware from scratches and a choice of 21oz indigo or 22oz super black, maybe even 22oz duck, on the outside. Put a nice Talon zipper on it and a leather pull, like the rider's jacket has, and offer it in a couple of different sizes (my laptop is 15"x10"x1.5"; hint, hint :)) and I think you'd have a nice product.
It would also be easy to do; you've got all the materials already and the patterns would be dead simple, basically just a couple of rectangles. Just a thought…
