White's Boots
-
Alright, got my build ready, but can anyone help confirm the last (standard?) and if the heel is lowered (quarter inch?)? Spoke with Kyle and we both took a guess:
Smoke Jumper: Same build as this pair on Warehouse http://store.whw.jp/?pid=41993162
Sole: Vibram 700
Hardware: All Brass Eyes
Height: 6"
Lace Design: Plain Toe
Top: Rolled Top
Midsole: Single
Size - Width: E
Leather Liner: No Thanks
Last: Standard
Upper (Shaft) Leather: Black Dress
Toe Vamp Leather: Black Dress
Toe Cap Leather Color: Does not apply
Celastic Toe Box: Single Celastic Toe
Edge: Brown
Steel Toe: No Thanks
Toe Cap: No Thanks
Counter Leather: Black SmoothSince WH has another Smoke Jumper, specifically on the Semi Dress last, my guess is that these are standard Smoke Jumpers but with a lowered heel, single midsole and celastic toe which give it a slimmer yet bulbous look.
Thanks!

Hi aho these looks like a bounty hunter to me sorry but wh must have mixed up theyre pic

My vote is SD last / lowered heel. Fuggin badass boots!
-
Agree - it's a look some folks would go for, it's a different look. check this one, extreme example, SJ with vibram100… https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151999717002281&set=o.198093005548&type=3&theater

Thanks everyone, appreciate the help! For reference, here's the pair WH is calling a Smoke Jumper on Semi Dress (ie: Bounty Hunter):
http://store.whw.jp/?pid=47912275And the original pair being worn (not listed as Semi Dress):
http://www.whw.jp/style/2012/03/20120327_1.htmlPretty sure the original ones I posted are just bounty hunters with a lowered heel. That settles it!

Agree. That's not standard SJ last.

Blue grass yeah my roughout bh have the soft toe innit.
-
Wow, that looks great with the thick leather.
Thanks! Yea, these are a whole new ballpark from my CXL boots… had to get a helper lacing them up the first time and have sore fingers and toes today. They have tremendous support too. This brown smooth is a brutal, yet epic leather!
Anyone know if I should do a light coat if LP to waterproof/soften leather now for preventative care or break-in. Good idea? :-\

D, now I officially want some soft toe rough outs. but I need to do more boot-wearing and less boot-buying for awhile.
4c, I never put anything on mine, just clean them with a wet rag when they get dirty… but I might someday. Lots of folks treat them periodically, or even polish them - but if they are brand new personally I'd wear them awhile first. You will prob. get a lot of diff. opinions on this!

Agree with bluegrass- it's unnecessary. There's no need to put anything on them until they start looking dry. Too much product isn't a good thing.

Damn, I do like that flat toe (assume thats a soft toe on D's BH?). Looking at mine again… what's another 1/4"? it think it would be OK...
This settles it for me; 1/4" lowered standard heel fo show! Perfect mix of iconic Whites but still with a boonie flare (when build with roughout). Maybe Kyle will cut us a deal on two pairs

I like to get White's for my new office kicks. Do BH(with double mid-soles + #450 sole) go well with pants and shirts?
P.S. Hi @demonito, Edmond from Indigoroots?

I'd really recommend something like Alden or Tricker's instead. They're much better for that type of use.
