Villains (Buying/ Selling/Trading)

A deal is a deal IMO.. If you make a deal and something something doesn't fit, sell it.
I had an issue with nerkg a couple months ago where he offered a price for an item of mine. When I replied accepting his offer, he suddenly changed his mind..
Get with it dudes… If you offer a price, follow through if it's accepted. If you make a deal, follow though.
It's not that hard.

Well, well, weell,
Simonq finally grows some and explains his hissy fit on the sales thread.
Some months ago, I contacted simon regarding his Oak St. Loafers and a possible trade with an IH Western shirt I had in XXL. He tentatively agreed although he was slightly worried about the size of the shirt being too big.
My IH 526 J OD became involved in the deal, as did his xl chambray workshirt, which I thought maybe too small at xl.
To cut a long story short , we agreed a trade : My Jacket and shirt for his shoes & shirt. Although we agreed that the shirts were negotiable if the fit was not right.
Therefore I held onto my items whilst I checked his shirt out. i honestly thought this was better than sending my shirt over to him, only to have to send both shirts back to each other.
On receipt, his shirt was fine but the shoes, although very nice, were too big.
I returned the shoes to him, along with my shirt in the exchange. In the spirit of our agreement I did not believe this would be a problem at all. I would like to add that if he had found my jacket unsuitable I would have been perfectly happy to take it back.
I was wrong, cue multiple pm s of dissatisfaction from Simon. He also made some cryptic posts on the villains thread, though nothing more.
I offered to return simon’s shirt to him in return for mine back . However, he was not so distraught with the deal that he wished to cancel it entirely.
He has been quite happy to keep my western shirt, so the deal did not destroy his life completely. Despite the tragedy of the shoes, I assumed he would eventually be able to get over the trauma and rebuild his life.
I note from his recent posts however, that he has far from forgotten.
I have no problem with simon, indeed I can understand his point of view. I don’t think he is a villain, maybe you think I am.
However, I have bought and sold a number of items on this forum (with no problems whatsoever).
This has obviously been eating away at him since January, over the weekend he has posted a sales thread specifically excluding me, compounding this by misleading posts about the mods taking me to task etc. something which has never happened.
So that is the story, like simon says above, everyone can make their own minds up. Shame he could not have posted that first.
I have no dispute with simon, I do not even challenge his account of what happened. I just thought we were conducting a friendly deal , not signing contracts in blood.

i dont understand why you write so much subjective stuff - everything needed to make up your mind stands above as quoted by me. this is the objective text and what really happened, not what you wrote. it includes EVERY quote, not missing one, nothing edited, the complete story. does not need explanation though.
i wrote my bachelorthesis in the meantime and had no interested in this topic.
i - of course - as you can see from the quote above (not from your false text..) wrote, that i want my shirt back, you just dont gave it or at least i don´t have it yet. have you sent it? did you not read my pm that that i want my shirt back? i mean have to not read it twice? you must have read it.
this thing is really fun. i mean not only you, also the mods and admins denunciate me although i´ve been here for quiet a long time.
and the only trauma i got is from people i liked, here at this board. not from you - i dont even know you, but from people who have been very kind in the past and just really, really badly insulted me due to this topic and i just dont know why. i only quoted the story - thats it.
and i did no post this because i believe i get anything back from you - why should you? you know - as i do and every1 else as well, that i have no hands on you. you are in a different country so theres no point in arguing. as the person who has sent his packet first, i got buttfucked. could have happened to you as well, just not did. i just posted this story because i did not want anybody else to feel like this when it is evitable.
haha, sorry dude - i have not read more then the first two sentences from your post ^^ but this one is golden:
I don’t think he is a villain, maybe you think I am.
you really rock. you not only got me buttfucked - you got ALL the mods and admins so as well. i really admire you though.
thumbs up.
ah, and this one is awesome as well, goes down like butter:
I offered to return simon’s shirt to him in return for mine back . However, he was not so distraught with the deal that he wished to cancel it entirely.
i wrote several times that i want the deal as set or no deal and that i want my stuff back asap (see quotes above).
oh man, i should stop reading the post fro myou, i seriously begin to like you and can learn alooooot from you.

This needs to end.
I don't know and I don't care who's the villain, but this whole discussion should be in PMs.

oh man, iam so much looking forward to you getting ripped off so i can tell you that you have to sort things out via pm, believe me.
havnt you read, what he just wrote? although the original postings tell something completely different, he just writes down something else and claims this is the truth. i also wrote via pm that i want my stuff back. i got no respeonse (i posted all pms!).
so what - in your mind - should i write him via pm? that i call the policed? grow up.

The mods do not have the time to deal with trivial squabbles between grown ups. I am not taking sides here as I have better things to waste my time doing, but if, once this thread gets unlocked this squabble continues, I will delete the posts and ban the member/s concerned.

Hexdrin (Alex Chapman of Bournemouth) took my money and never sent the shirt or replied to any messages/emails. Quite a few other people here got done too.
-
I should have been more wary of no exchange/purchase history but IH forum member MontiuS took my money and supposedly sent the package only to never respond back when DHL never delivered it.
2 months later he sends an email threatening to open a paypal fraud dispute after it has been settled for over month.
-
@Seul, yeah I got the money back dude.
I have only positive experience with montiuS as buyer, several transactions through paypal not a problem, communication was always good. Maybe some lost in translation in this case
I honestly wasn't going to post it up on the forum because I believe it was mostly the carrier's fault at first. But a sudden lack of responses after about 2 months of the jeans never arriving at my door and that recent email, I felt it needed to be posted as a heads up.

thank you davito…
now just a little heads up...
first: the only thing that counts - the guy got his money back through paypal! so there is nothing to complain about!
i made two attempts with "Deutsche Post" to find the damn thing, even after the case was sold.of course it was insured, but the guys from DP said they only pay when they get feedback from the us carrier USPS.
3 weeks ago i got a confirmation saying the packet was delievered on FEB 19th!
so now i have no jeans and lost the money.
thanks...

Any news on this? I know MontiuS and have no doubt he's a stand up guy.
-
sorry about your experience with Jpie14. always sucks when you do the "right thing" & get burned for it.

Seconded

I'm genuinely shocked by that G, we should have a drive over and a chat with Alex next time I visit
I'm not fond of rip-off scum… So can I come too?..

You know that would mean you leaving Belgina right?
