Lone Wolf Boots (Sugar Cane)
-
located in the uk (essex area) the only worry for me is sizing as i went to try on another pair of red wing last saturday the 8 lace moc toe and found them really hard to get on in my size ,where as my 877 ones in the same size fits easy .

Hi Dave, I'm looking at stocking Lonewolf seasonally towards the end of next year in the UK, too far off for you I'm sure so you might want to contact the UK Sugar Cane distributor (follow through the website), friendly guy and could help you with sizing and a one off pair maybe. I don't know how the sizing works out yet so wouldn't want to advise.
Good luck.

thanks eastwest i wont be buying them at the moment so i can wait i could even be your first customer ,do you have the website or link for the sugarcane distributaor by chance ?

almost went ahead and copped a pair of these lw carpenter boots today.
i was after the brown but they only had the black pair in stock…wasn't too sure about the silver eyelets on the all black pair. a bit too much contrast imo so i passed -.-they fit a tad larger as your standard pair of boots (red wing for example). still i would take the same size in both though!

And I like the brown better
-
did you see them local to you or were you going to order on line ,as if it was in germany / ill drive over and buy a pair

I'd been admiring these on Rakuten also.
In Finn's pic, I noticed something odd about the box. It says "St. Louis Missouri". However a google search doesn't show any Lone Wolf boots in Missouri or in the US.
What's up with the box labeling?
Japanese pay a lot of attention not only in the product also on labelling and package. They just love referring to heritage from USA
Here some Infos on this particular bootshttp://historypreservation.com/hpassociates/detailpop.php?uniqnum=326

The brown is so much better on those.

While researching the St. Louis Missouri connection to Lone Wolf boots, I discovered Thorogood's, Made in the US, lace to toe Roofer boots.
Looks very similar to Lone Wolf carpenter model but at 1/3 the price (or even less if you get black not brown):

As I recall, Injun Jack has a pair of the Thorogood Roofers in the two tone brown and likes them a lot. I know other forum members have had good experiences with other Thorogood models. So if you like the look of those, you should feel confident about buying a pair.
