IH-555S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo PREVIOUSLY IH-555-01

That's how mine fit and I sized up. I personally love that fit. Looks great to me.

So I wore the jeans today and they were great except for this.
The bulgy part of the pocket bag kept pressing onto the side of my hip and it was quite uncomfortable as it hurt (only on the right side). I'm not sure if there's any way to make it less "bulgy".
Anyone else with the same problem?

This question may not belong here, but I just saw this on the Self Edge newsletter and it made me curious…
"We've just received a large restock of the popular 301s jean from Iron Heart which now has a visible selvedge outseam. We worked with Iron Heart to tweak the way the outer leg is cut to preserve the selvedge edge of the fabric while maintaining the slim tapered fit the 301s is known for."
So, does that mean the 301 is now more like the 555-01??

555 is still a bit slimmer I believe

If you check the measurements there's very little difference between the two. The leg opening is more or less the same on the 555-01 and the 301s. The 301 has a lower rise though (I prefer the 555 for this reason).

I have had both cuts the calf was definitely slimmer on 555. Could just be my pair. Also remember IH and SE measure differently.

The IH site says the w34 actually measures 35.5 inches. Anyone find they measure closer to an actual w34? No idea how to size!
Go by the measurements in the size chart and not the tagged waist size. Use a tape measure to check the dimensions on a couple of your favorite pairs of jeans (be sure to follow these guidelines: http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2835.0). The 21oz denim will easily stretch out an 1" with a bit of wear, and can stretch 1.5"+ if you don't wear a belt and are particularly active in them. Remember to take that into consideration. If you're still uncertain about the sizing, you can always shoot the IH UK team an email to see if they can help you pick out a pair that's close to your ideal measurements. Paula has provided me with a lot of help with that in the past
