Anyone here play video games?

I've been borrowing my cousins PS4 for the last week whilst he's away and I have to say that I'm far from impressed. I have had a PS3 since release day and the PS4 is (so far) not much of a leap forward.
They're going to have to do far more with this machine to convince me that it's worth the investment.

I'm sure ps4 will be great in another year or so… But if I had to suggest one to someone I'd say xbone is the way to go... I know a lot of people are caught up on the frames/1080p debate but I honestly can't tell a huge difference... Like I said as the platforms progress this may become more noticeable but I think the capabilities of xbone and incorporation of smart glass... As it has been used in watch dogs (well see if it really lives up to the hype) is amazing. I don't have an allegiance either way BTW...last gen I was ps3 all theway...this time I feel like Microsoft really delivered..

I am a Nintendo fanboy and have always had a playstation system in addition to and have had a 360 on several occasions because I think Halo is the greatest franchises there is next to Zelda. Several months back I sold my ps3 because I wanted to play more games with Jake. When Titanfalls came out I could not resist and bought an XB One which prompted me to get a 360 again for the bedroom. I have only played TF and Ghosts on the system and both play and look great. I also think xbox controller is by far the best.

Yet to play a Xbox one but have had a PS4 since launch. I mainly play NBA 2K14 and Battlefield, I've found the next gen versions of these to be a massive leap forward from the PS3.

Nk14 on xbone wasn't first venture.. I would agree with respect to the difference in next and last gen platforms on this particular game franchise. MAJORLEAP forward

Ive only had about 45 minutes too fool around on it today but so far it seems pretty legit… I wish ubisoft would give more realistic expressions to the characters but gameplay is really nice, timing is everything in this game... The time I did have to play was primarily spent repeating the police chase in the beginning a number of times to execute a perfect stoplight hack, and then repeating the city rally side mission with 24 checkpoints. Progressive auto save throughout the missions (Ala AC series) would have been a nice addition for a game so meticulous in regards to times execution. I should have a better opportunity late this evening early tomorrow morning to sink my teeth in further

Played the DESTINY ALPHA
Got into a fight with some DEVs that rode throughout the server..
yeah, wrong neighborhood MF…Proceeded to steal the vehicle he rode in on... All in all a great experience and the best Alpha I have ever been involved in..

Unreal, welcome back!!!

I picked up The Last of Us the other day. I never got round to playing the original, but I'm loving this remastered one.
I don't usually go for these sort of games, but I'm glad I gave this a crack. Epic story line, and who doesn't love throwing nail bombs at zombies? Haven't played the multiplayer yet, will get into it after I've finished the story mode.

TLOU is the bomb-diggity

PS4 owners, talk to me. I'm considering asking Santa for one of these, should I? Are the games there to make it worth while?
-
mega. i've been on that fence now for several months. though i'm not an owner yet. but i still find that it lacks the amount of games being produce for it. still quite happy with my ps3 with gtv, fifa, cod you know the list goes on..

Yeh, I still have my PS3 but I'm feeling the gamer itch to advance again….just wondering how much of an advancement it actually is.

i don't really know how to give technicalities. but consider the fact that psn is no longer free… not sure about rest of the world..
