WESCO

Thanks for the comments guys.
@AndyO yeh it was the heel height I was originally worried about. But after seeing them in person and how they look on, I think it suits the boot perfectly. I don't think I'd be up for anything higher though.
@Bluegrass And @aho Mine had the "irregular outsole stitching" described as well, and honestly, you can barely notice it. Says a fair amount for the quality control of Wesco for these to make the factory seconds.

Doing some projects around the house.

Considering some Boss with a lug sole for winter but I still haven't decided if I'm an engineer boot kinda guy.

I'm on the Wesco train already, the engineer boot thing might still be a leap for me though.

If you get the right build, you'll never understand why it took you so long to get your first engineers! My engineers are my chillin' out boots. Ahhhhh….......

for those wesco boss wearers- what kind of socks do you wear? the top strap is rubbing against my calf and its pretty painful. i tried wearing long socks and they just keep falling down
or do you guys wear short socks and just get callouses?

I had this same problem, especially with my roughout Bosses. I bought these Fox River military socks but they kept falling down into the boot. I wound up just folding my socks over the top of the boot. It feels a little funny at first but then you get used to it and it's fine, and no rubbing. I think Wesco actually sells socks so they should not fall down.
