Levi's
-
I recently joined the forum a month or two ago and haven't really posted much but I'm currently wearing a pair of Levi's Made & Crafted tack slim (waiting on my raw busters that are getting hemmed at SESF) I've been wearing almost daily for about 2 months.
They're made in Turkey and non-selvedge but I didn't notice there is a selvedge option or maybe I picked up an older lot. For $100 flat, so far I like them. They're cool jeans but nothing amazing, they weigh in about 12oz and don't seem to crease too well but we will see… I'll post some pics once I have some decent evo going...

nice collection!
now all you need is:
- blanket version of the Type 1 and 3
- blanket-less version of the Type 2 (looks like blanket on pic)
- back cinch version of the Type 1
- WWII version of the Type 1
- side pocket-less version of the Type 3
there are so many nice versions of these great jackets!

Vente-Privee is having a massive LVC sale. Here is the link: http://vpusa.com/uVfvKKb

I bought this jacket sometime in the early nineties, and wore it whilst at university. Towards the end of my twenties I put on a load of weight, and it no longer fitted me, so I gave it to my brother. He wore it pretty heavily for a few years, and then it got put into storage seven or eight years ago.
It started out the same as the black jacket posted above.
@swiss-jeansfreak was impressed by it on Instagram earlier.

Yeah I love this strong denim evo on this black denim jacket
Keep it alive for ever -
It's probably going to get a bit of remedial patching on the sleeves off Darn and Dusted to stop the holes spreading, and then dispatched to LA for my brother to continue abusing.
If he decides that he doesn't want it, then I'm guessing that the Jeansmuseum will have a corner for it.

I need help with a pair of LVC, the infamous 201.
On Cultizm they say:
Waist runs 1" smaller than tag size, e.g. W32 is measured 31"
http://www.cultizm.com/product_info.php?info=p126_Levi–s---Vintage-Clothing-1920-201-Jeans-Rigid.html
http://www.cultizm.com/product_info.php?info=p5693_Levi-s---Vintage-Clothing-1920-s-201-Jeans-Bright-Rinse.htmlI realized that I should size up 1, correct?
BUT their model wears a 33, exactly the same size he does in 501 (all interactions). He went tag size…
I've never seen one pair of 201 in my life... Anyone of you has a pair? @Max Power , maybe…
Do you remember what have you done? Tag size or +1?many many thanks in advance!!!

Hi, I once had a 201. It was size 33 and had been washed before I got it. But according to the previous owner (almostnice of DB /sufu) they didn't shrink much even in a hot wash. Due to the wide fit I could fit in the 33 while my normal size is 34. The inseam was about 35-36" which seems to prove that they didn't shrink much.
If they are still the same cut and denim, I'd got true to size or maybe even size down. Not sure if that's still valid though….

They should finally add measurements. But their service is pretty good, so you could surely easily exchange. I never had issues with that.

I bought a pair of 201s in 2005. I pretty much wear a size 32 in everything but stupidly bought these in a size 34, believing the nonsense on the label, i.e. shrink from tagged size. They barely shrank in the waist and inseam, even after a 90C wash and tumble dry. I never wore them and eventually gave them away to my brother-in-law. My advice would be to buy them in your usual size; if ever I bought them again, I'd get a size 32.
