*Hardcore*

Yeah, seriously, if anyone here is interested in learning what it's all about, apply immediately to shadow/apprentice Mike Cheese. "I am NOT fucking around!" He's the ultimate litmus test. A lot of people like to talk about how they miss "hardcore and punk being dangerous." Mike Cheese exposes these people as to their truthfulness in that statement.
Eli - I think that Nagoya City comp sold out. He didn't make too many of them. I haven't played it yet, but will report back.
Other new/current shit I'm feeling: VACCINE (pissed, anti-human sXe) and POLLUTION (NYC).

New Confines is deadly.

Gehenna are doing a few euro dates and oddly (given how weak the scene is here) they are playing Glasgow. I'll probably drag myself down for that…
Coke Bust are playing next week, not really feeling them to be honest but think it will be decent live. (Plus I need a COKE BUST shirt to rock in my squash matches.) Gave up on that flavour of fast core stuff with the lifes halt/whn? wave of "bandana" thrash. I need to hunt down the pictures of the WHN show here which was in a practice room and had a kind low turn out, show was super fun though as most of it featured the (small) singer dude totally handing my ass to me by doing back breakers and other weird wrestling moves on me. I caught on pretty quick that it wouldn't hurt if I just went along with it...

the australian band Carpathian has a song called Ironheart that their singer Martin named after his favorite pair of jeans.
he is also opening a denim shop.

Noticed the Endpoint flier immediately and made me think of this:

Be happy you don't know who it is.
@stever:slaying some extortion and some trash talk at the gym this evening. feels great
Hope it was plagues or the self titled, because their most recent album was a total shitfest.

@riffblaster:
here are some basic classic albums that i cant imagine anyone would disagree about.
Bad Brains - Roir Sessions and Rock for Light
Black Flag - Damaged and My War
Cro Mags - Age of Quarrel
Minor Threat - everything
Poison Idea - Pick Your King
Misfits - Earth AD and Walk Among Usthere are a thousand others i could name that some could argue as more important or influential but these albums are at least a good starting point for early hardcore, and could be considered the basis that most modern hardcore spawned from.
Age Of Quarrel is flawless imo.

Lando is flexing his mod powers, nice!
riffblaster general - where are you? still go to shows?
last one i went to was the Unbroken/Undertow/Threadbare reunion in SoCal… i'm pretty out of it as far as newer bands.
I'm so stoked this thread exists. I was at that Unbroken show in SoCal too. I also went to their reunuion at Burning Fight in Chicago.

I remember that Jesuit show… I may still have the bruises. The great thing about that place is that it was basically setup like house shows in a living room. Did you ever play the Pickle Patch in Santa Barbara? Used to just drive up there and then just crash on the floor after the show.
Wow, glad to see the Pickle Patch mentioned on here. I grew up and currently live in Santa Barbara. I remember some great show at the Pickle Patch; Ensign, Kill Your Idols, Good Clean Fun, Dillinger Escape Plan…
If you remember The Living Room in Goleta, I'm working to get that place up and running again.
