The Flat Head

Should've washed it more man! You could have something crazy nice by this point.
Mine's looking really good too, shows most of the wear on the elbows/arms.

The jacket is looking good already but a thorough wash will really bring out the colour and take it to the next level.
I haven't been able to wear my Type II as much as I'd hoped because the weather here has already hit mid to high teens temperature wise.

@Sugar:
Nice work Ben. What size do you take in the 3005? If you wouldn't mind, some measurements BIG style of your pair after a few washes would be grand.
I've got a 33!
I washed it yesterday and it's stretched to the point where I feel they end up at.
Waist: 33
Front rise: 11.25"
Back rise: 15.75"
Thigh: 12.5"
Hem: 9"My recommendation is to get your the waist you want them to end up at and they will most likely fit anyone in the thighs. This will give you a perfect fitted loose fit. If you want a slouchy super comfy for you can go up a size, like Tyler's from self edge.
You def want the 3005 or 3003 (even though I've never seen a fit pic), you know you want some flat head jeans that fit
In fact. I like the cut so much I'll try and hunt down the 3005-A next!

Thanks a lot for those measurements Ben. I think I would be a size 32 in the 3005 (which is the same as my old 3001) and you're right, that's the model I'd choose. I'd thought that the rise would be lower than what you've listed, which had held me back. Maybe one day… !

For anyone not on superfuture, here's my type 2 jacket after 3 months and about 3 or 4 washes!
-
Looks great Ben!

Jacket looks great, nice pics mate.

In my opinion there is not a better smelling garment than the wabash…no clue why.
-
Awesome, @zatenm !
How would you describe the cut? I really would like to get one of those but I have special requirements (slim with long arms) and the measurements of R&H and Self Edge are different.
-
The old 7012W is exactly what you want if you're slim with long arms.
-
Smells a bit like old paper and vintage fabric even after several washes @grandmasterben
Didn't really notice it before you brought it up - really cool olfactory detail: even the smell of this fabric has character [emoji4]@mental floss the cut can be quite unforgiving. It seems best suited for slim gents with narrow waist and hips and flat belly IMO
VS my size in IH Westerns, i noticed the following:
Much broader shoulders
Slightly tighter chest
Much tighter waist and opening (typically the deal-breaker for many)
Similar arm length- shoulders have an extra 1" which helps the arms length without looking too dropping/low from the shoulders.I wear an S in most IHSHs and a 38 in this. Hope this helps!
