IHXB01 - Beatle Buster 21oz Japanese Selvage Denim Indigo
-
Just picked up a pair from IHUK. I've been trying to pare down my closet over the past month and have sold off a lot of denim. Was looking for a versatile fit (not too slim but not too baggy…a "goldilocks" fit). After trying a zillion types of sanforized/unsanforized/overdyed/naturally dyed/ blah blah blah denims, the
standard 21oz seemed to offer the best of all worlds. And well worn pairs in this denim have always caught my eye with a fairly "natural" look, for lack of a better word. Have always been a fan of the general lack of gimmicks in iron heart clothes.Couldn't be happier with these - tight in the top block on first wear but loosening already. Rigid but miles softer than most other raw denim. I'm a sucker for the herringbone pocket bags, and love a lined back pocket.
Not the best pics, but gives you a general sense of the fit.

Amazing! Well done

Holy shit man those look amazing…. if only they could talk lol. Great job man I wish I could achieve that kind of awesome.
-
Even if I am not that much into those kind of fades anymore…damn, they're epic and have that special sothern asian fade. Haraki would love them.
-
I'm not great at showing evo photos but I just got my DWCxUHR competition denim and I wanted to take a comparison photo. My B01's are 2 years old but I only wore them in the winter and only after work… I've had the crotch repaired once and I already need another repair. I don't like high rise a whole lot so I still wear them at my waist... I think this is why my crotch isn't lasting.

What are the correct measurements of a size 40 waist beatle busters 21oz sanforized, I see different sizes on different sites( IH,SE,RH) is the thigh 14 inches, knee 10 inches, leg opening 9.5 inches and the waist 39 inches.
-
SE measure differently from IH and RH which will account for some of the discrepancy. There is variance between individual jeans which will account for the rest. If you place an order with us, we'll automatically engage you in conversation about finding the best fitting pair for you.
-
Well, each one of those companies takes their measures in slightly different manners. Additionally, these are items made by hand and have slight variations from pair to pair. So quite possibly, they're all "right".
That said, review the "How We Measure" section here on the forum, practice a couple of times on your own jeans to get a better conception of their methodology and how the numbers correlate to how you like things to fit. And trust Iron Heart. They're very, very careful about being accurate and consistent. I've had less success with Self Edge. No experience with R&H, so I won't say anything bad about Danny and the boys.
EDIT: Giles said it better and faster than I did. Bastard.
