IH-101J - 1946 101J Riders Jacket

She's a beauty. Not sure if I like the buttons either, but they have a vintage feel to them. They will look better with some wear.

Jacket looks awesome!! I was waiting for this one, but it ended up a lil small and a lil short and no pockets. dammit

Wow!!! Most of us think alike but this 18 OZ creating too much distraction, Monday I guess we are getting more choices, otherwise I am gonna pull it!!!

The 18oz is nice denim and i love the chest pockets and total design of this. Unfortunately the fit wont work.

IMO 526L and this 101J are best jackets so far, I was looking for hand warmers otherwise this one too is hard to find !!!

This fabric definitely stretches a lot, Giles could confirm this, length is more like 1966, not that short!!!
-
It's our take on a 1946, like the IHxVS-T1-DD is our take on a Type I. We try to make them useable today, not be a total slave to repro.
18oz stretches, but then all denim does.
I am totally with Giles & I am totally in for IH 101J, I am just waiting to check on Monday … have doubts tho, this is it, HELL YEAH!!

here's mine.
to me this jacket is very different from a type 3 FH jacket i owned. the sleeves and cut was much fuller and i've found the sleeves length a little long for my linking. however the details are really nice, and i probably could see myself adjusting to it. mine's a size 36/S. perhaps i should've gone for the 34/XS, but the p2p was the same as the flathead i measured, so i stuck with these.
-
yeah the zigzig stitching, the buttons and the selvage line. fantastic details. though i must say, i would love additional selvage line across the sleeve, visible when you cuff. and i reckon it definitely needs breaking in, these are very stiff. havent worn a new denim jacket in awhile, so these brought me back to square one.

No problem. It's a nice jacket, heavy, soft, and no struggles with the buttons.
