Thinking about speccing a pair of Bounty Hunters or Wesco Packers… too. many. options!!!

Just read this article on White's boots and found it informative. Touches on the different build qualities, the expansion into Japan, the shrinking markets in the US. Written from a retailer perspective. Unfortunately it doesn't show the date it was written; most likely before last year's acquisition.

Just inquiring about the sizing of White's boots. I have the Viberg IHVB-04 (the 310 last) in 6.5 US, they fit me pretty well even with socks and insoles (if a bit snug). However AFAIK Viberg's size pretty large, I wear a size 7 in Wolverine 1000 mile (I think I can fit into a 6.5 1K as well, but then I wouldn't be able to use wool sucks and insoles). I wanna get a pair of White's semi-dress soon but I'm kinda unsure about sizing, would I be OK with a size 7 US?
I go brannock device -.5 and one width larger. Leaves plenty of room for thicker socks but not swimming in the boots either.

I just spent 2 full nights reading through this thread. Im about to pull the trigger on a pair of boots once i hear back from Kyle at Bakers. My only question though, has anyone noticed a quality difference since the company was sold. Its been about a year now so im hoping someone has a before and after pair to compare.
I was able to try on a pair of Smokejumpers at a local store although their size run was limited, the 10.5EE seemed to fit perfectly. At least in terms of the arch hitting in the right spot and my heel feeling like it was being hugged by the boot. I was very pleased with the fit. I also was able to try on a pair of Wesco pull on boots, the boss model im guessing. I wasnt very pleased with the fit of those at all. Maybe it was just the last but the whites fit way better. Im praying that the boots are of the same quality as the old ones so i dont have to look else where.
I am a bit confused on the sizing though because the only thing I wear a 10.5 or 11 are vans, converse, and nikes. All of my Allen Edmonds, RW, Chips are all 9.5 or 10 E-EEE. Does this sound right? I even have a pair of RW 9111 in a 10D granted the leather is soft and forgiving otherwise i dont think it would have worked at all.
P.S. We need some more pictures of worn in red dog smooth!

@Authentic04 if you really want to be safe (and what's your hurry at this point?) do a tracing and send it to Kyle. And you've already done the best sizing of all, trying on a pair and liking the fit. The only thing you said that threw me off was Red Wing in 10D vs. 10.5EE in White's. I'd think 1/2 size down or same as Red Wings…
Re: difference between before and after sale, I've only purchased "before" - but I don't think much has changed, it's the same boots on the same lasts being made by the same people in the same factory as far as I've heard. Perhaps someone else has actual experience?
Your first pair is the hardest - I understand you want to get it right - but once you're sized right it's real good. Good luck and be sure to post up some pics after you get your boots.
