Watches - another OCD problem

How an $815,000 watch can be considered a bargain! :o

wow. when A tourbillon just isn't enough.

Following a period of internet speculation it looks like Tudor have finally announced that a production black version of the popular 'Black Bay' will be available from tomorrow ( October 15th ).
The model looks similar to the unique piece created for the 'only watch' auction. It can be had on a nato strap, leather strap or bracelet.
Looking forward to checking this version out when it lands at the dealers.

The release of this production version of the 'Black Bay Black' has probably taken some of the value off the only watch auction piece.
Imagine paying through the nose for the 'only watch' to then find a production version released.

Congratulations mate and welcome to the Black Bay club!
I've been following the launch of the new Black Bay Black over the past couple of days… Very nice looking addition to the range but yes, the timing is odd given the upcoming auction. Still enough difference aesthetically to separate the auction version from the general release though. I'd love to see the BBB on a khaki or olive NATO.

@tmg:
Excellent choice, looks best on the bracelet, although I'm considering getting a leather strap for mine at some stage, but not the Tudor one as it didn't look or feel that great
I'd agree about the leather bracelet. Considering the lengths they went to with the Nato strap (woven from angel hair by the Vatican choir boys, and all that) you think they could have come up with something a little better for the leather option.

I was almost set on getting the leather strap when I got mine, but when I had it in hand I couldn't believe how cheap it felt. I actually in inquired on purchasing it separately, but they quoted me like $800 for the strap and deployant clasp! No thanks! I'd rather spend $150 on something made with high quality leather.
I have mine on the nylon strap now, and it is super comfortable.

Wow, I cried paying $140 for my leather Nato strap. $800 is nuts.

The fabric strap is amazingly comfortable and durable. I've had mine on the strap for about a year and it still looks great.

I was never a fan of the precious metal pieces when I first started collecting but have added a couple to my collection lately. This is my 1978 Rolex 1680/8, which is probably the only yellow gold watch I would ever want. Took a while to track one down in the right condition!
