Danner
-
I've never been a danner guy. That said I was intrigued by the danner/wings&horns collab that just came out. Figured I'd give em a try and send em back if I didn't like them.
Suede outer with a goretex lining and an incredibly comfortable sole. They sorta have the look of a desert boot and they are super light. Looks like I'm keeping them.
Fit is a little snug. I'm usually a 9-9.5 d. I went 9.5 with these and could have gotten a 10. They will likely stretch with wear though.

They look pretty cool man

I've never worn another pair of danners. If it helps I'm a 9.5 in rw, 9 in Alden true balance. I got 9.5 in these but in all honestly should have gotten 10. It's not unbearably snug and after wearing them they've definitely stretched, but a little extra room wouldn't hurt. These don't feel even remotely like an EE width to me though.
Side note: went hiking in these today and they were great.

also if anyone has a pair of the bull run 105's please post a fit pic here. i'm eyeing up a pair but lace to toe always weirds me out.

I've just been admiring the Danner x Tanner collaboration. Unfortunately they only go up to a 13, and I'm typically a 14. But someone else might fancy a pair.
You can pick them up at Tanner Goods or Woodlands if overseas.

Waited for the after Christmas sale on the clymb and picked these up for cheap money. Was never a lace to toe kinda guy but I really like these. Super comfortable.

Rainforests clean't up and now with Baker Shoe boot laces

I got a really good deal on these Danner hikers. The laces are indestructible Bloodline boot laces (1600 lb test strenth). You can find them on etsy. I got a not so good deal on the Chup socks from HBX.
The boots are really nice quality for under $200. Waterproof Gore-tex and Vibram soles. They are very thick and yet lightweight.

I've been wearing Danner Mountain 600 lows in waterproof suede for the past year. I took them on a few 2 day hikes and other than that it's been just casual wear. They feel like a sneaker but look a bit classier, and being totally waterproof is pretty awesome. However, less than a year after buying them, the heel lining material started to wear through.
I contacted them and they gave me an address to send the boots for warranty evaluation. About 5 days later, I get a shipping notice from Danner. I'm wondering if they have decided it's just "normal wear and tear" and are just sending the boots back to me. Nope, it's a completely new pair. So pretty awesome no questions asked fix from Danner. The downside is the boots fit great, and I have no doubt that the same issue will come up again, unless they secretly strengthened the material while making it look and feel exactly the same. I'll get another season out of them at least, but we'll see how they hold up.

Just finished cleaning my Mountain Lights to make them ready for a summer that’s hopefully full of beautiful hikes.
Can’t praise these enough: Sturdy, reliable, never got wet feet, never slipped, and damn are they beautiful.
Have gotten more compliments on these than on any other boot I own (and I own quite a few..).Two shots from Mallorca (03/2022)
Also, I can’t tell how proud I am to get the chance to continue the way too short journey of Mike‘s Mountain Pass,
that will hopefully serve me well as the „lightweight brother“ of my MLs that in some scenarios happen to have some grams more than what my feet feel comfortable with. -
Chuffed you got them @weftyarn, and that you are putting them to work.

First wear day with Mike‘s Mountain Pass. They’re almost unworn but that will be changed quickly. Looking forward to many adventures.
