DOUBLE DUCK 634 WORLD TOUR
-
-
The Ducks are so dirty round the ankles and lower legs with mud they are just being used for walking in. Going to do 1 maybe 2 more big walks then give them their first wash before posting them on to @GingerMagician in the next few days.
Looking forward to what they look like after a wash -
Looking forward to giving these hell @spitfiredealer . Or, more accurately, a stern telling off, given the mild nature of my daily routine when not a bike (no way I could rock these on a Sat club run ).
Quick question - is double cuffing permissible/frowned upon? Looking at your pics and having met you, I'm going to need to shorten them a good chunk to get the length somewhere close to where I like it.
-
Rock them however you want mate. Double cuff or triple it's all good.
-
I triple cuffed the II's

That's 27 wears. Going to look amazing after 127 let alone by the end of a year

@spitfiredealer and @GingerMagician….........
Is it a mandatory requirement that the 634DD's are washed before posting onwards on the tour?
The reason I ask is that there is no way I can get into a post wash 32" waist.
If it isn't mandatory can I ask GingerMagician to hold off washing them at the end of his leg of the tour?
If they must be washed then I'll give them a try, upon my return, as I am away for Jan in a very hot climate.Cheers, Barcley

Have to say, I'd feel more comfortable washing them. I know you'll be the one wearing them without the wash, Barcley, but I think it would play on my mind during January - I want to give them as much hell as I can, without worrying about feeling guilty when the time comes to pass them on to you. Maybe that's just my OCD talking… I'd also like to bust out a decent camera and get some good post-wear/post-wash shots before posting them.
Layton's call, though - he's running the show
-
@GingerMagician, I understand buddy.
Can I ask that you wash them only once, at a low temp and, if possible, avoid the tumble dryer?
Cheers, Barcley
-
I would say it's best if they are washed every time especially if it is going to effect how hard someone will go in them if they know they can't wash them.
That 32 waist will stretch out, of that I am certain. Plus as long as there is no drier action it won't get smaller.
-
I never tumble dry @den1mhead and always wash at 40c or lower (unless I'm trying to get a bit of shrinkage), so no worries on that front.
Do you want me to PM you with the waist measurement when they come out of the machine? Might allow me to give them a bit of a stretch before they dry.
