IHTL-1501 - Extra Heavy Cotton Knit Crew Neck Sweater
-
Question for those that own this - is the material pretty warm like a sweatshirt or more like a really thick tshirt material?
Love crewneck sweats but don't want the classic "v" stitch under the collar, so this might be perfect. Looking for something to wear under my flannels that I could wear on its own if needed.
Also, has anyone tried throwing this over a collared shirt? Does it look weird cause of no bottom ribbing or does it looks nice and clean?
Thanks,
Adam

Definitely more sweatshirty, but not as fuzzy. It's quite warm, but won't give you a warming feeling when you put it on. Personally I hate wearing sweaters over shirts, and with this one it could get a bit restricting as the neckhole is quite narrow. That being said, it looks OK if the shirt remains untucked.
I love this sweater though! A heather grey/grey melange (whatever you call it) one would be awesome. Would buy.

SMALL RESTOCK TODAY OF L AND XXL
-
…and picked up the sole black XL. Sweet deal!

Yet another winner. Went with the XL (down from usual XXL) since the shoulders still hit 20". Trade-off is that its tighter through the upper chest but not uncomfortable. The sleeves seem overly tapered through the forearms and cuffs though - hopefully they will stretch out.
@Peter: Just re-read the thread and saw that you had the same forearm/cuff issue. Did yours stretch out with wear? Did it tighten up again with washing or stay looser?
-
@Manticore - Yeah they stretched pretty quickly with wear, and tighten back up whenever I wash it. I haven't thought about it since I got it though, so I guess there has been some permanent stretch as well
They were damn tight in the beginning though, and I'm no Popeye!

Yeah, you'll have to be careful about sleeves, especially with knitwear. A lot of IH shirts have those slim fitted forearms. IIRC, it's because Haraki doesn't like getting a breeze blowing up his arms when he's riding his bike. I understand the logic, but I have Popeye syndrome, so it's caused a few purchase fails for me.

I love the slim fitting forearms but yeah I could see how they would be too much for some.
