Watches - another OCD problem

OK, some alternative watch porn.
Grand Seiko Spring Drive Eight Day Power Reserve
A limited edition of eight pieces, which Hodinkee says will retail for around $55K. They're being made by Seiko's top watchmakers.
Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater
The world's thinnest minute repeater is now made by Bvlgari. Hang on, aren't they meant to be an jewelery brand? Hodinkee and aBlogToWatch have details. I love the dial treatment, but not the CHF 160K price.
The Monsieur de Chanel
Just launched at Baselworld, this is a new men's watch by Chanel. Jumping hour, retrograde minutes, and the finishing on the movement is fantastic. More at Hodinkee.

Another new Rolex, this time the Air King.
What people are missing, including Hodinkee is that this has a soft iron inner case. That's right, it's antimagnetic, and that makes it a lot more interesting.
I've always had a soft spot for the Air King and this model is no exception. Is this the first model with a Faraday cage? I am loving all the attention that sane sized watches are getting in 2016!

Faraday cage is in any anti-magnetic model like the Milgauss models.
Sorry, I meant the first Air King model.

I think that it's the first antimagnetic Air King. It actually looks as though they've put an alternative dial on the Milgauss, rather than develop a whole new model, as it's in a 40 mm case.
@Anesthetist did you see Hodinkee's hands one with the Black Bay 36?

Going to check that out! I didnt see the full specs on the AirKing. They pushed it to a 40mm case? Kinda ruins it for me tbh.

Trends from Baselworld by CNN.

Smaller watches.
-
Steel cases.
-
Simpler movements.
I can get with all of the above.
Speaking of smaller, steel and simpler, Monochrome did another review of the Black Bay 36. Overall it's been very positively received - I think it'll be a hit.

Nice! @Anesthetist Although my initial reaction on seeing the top photo was, "Don't knock it off the edge!"

Off that rock is a fall of a hundred feet or more and it is really windy up there. I'm not going to lie, I held onto it until the last second and snatched it the moment the pic was done[emoji23]

If it'd of gone, I can't imagine the amount of 'oh shit' and 'in shit' you would be in.

Anyone see this? The Engineered Garments x Beams Boy x Timex camper looks a little funky but I think it's cool. Definitely not something that typically pops up in this thread!
They sold out in less than an hour at Nepenthes New York but I got the last one [emoji2]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
