Ahhh! I am in town on that day!!! but I have plans that evening already
I will swing past on Tuesday or Wednesday before, very excited to visit my third version of DC4

Great great nerdy store with regular opening hours. Next time I visit the japanese restaurant ABOVE em. Yeah, DC4 is in some kind of basement and the matching restaurant is above em. Really really cool!!! Daniel was a great dude.

Visited the store today. Couldn't resist to cop the king of slub, Oni 612xx http://shop.dc4.de/Men/Jeans/ONI-DENIM-612XX-Tapered-16-5oz::1137.html, as the denim is awesome and the tapered cut with roomy thighs and small leg opening works for me.
Pics including fitpics before and after soaking will follow.

That pair is on my want-list as well
-
Looks like a pair of Oni a grown man can wear…also with a decent rise!
-
Somehow I only think of Hype and ripping Jeans when I think of Oni. But I'm eager to fell / try them on myself.

Here some pre soak measurements and pics.
Pics of the cut and denim:
Fitpics (poor lighting but it's autumn here[emoji6]):
Measurements in cm:
Waist: 46,5
Front Rise: 27
Back Rise: 35
Thigh: 34,5
Inseam: 91,5
Leg Opening: 17,5Waist is a little too big but should be wearable after soaking and with a belt. It's a 34. My thighs force me to buy this size.
Overall I am pretty happy with the fit.Post soak measurements and pics later.

Really liking the texture of the denim!

Perfect!

They look great. I really like how dark they are in the pictures.

After 3ish hours of looking, I asked in Burg & Schild for the address. Turns out I’d walked past it a couple of times. Difficult to spot to say the least :). No photos, as my phone died.
Saw the ONI collaboration. Tried on the jeans… Tried on the type III...

The denim is amazing. It’s such a loose weave, it really does not feel like 20 oz. Plus the texture :). It’s so slubby!
I spent quite a while deciding :).
He was telling me how long it had taken to get the collaboration with ONI underway. “The guy is 70 years old. He just does what he wants”.
Apparently their next collaboration will be Momotaro in a few months. There’s a redesign for the website as well. The new store was very difficult for me to find, but I’m sure it’ll be great when everything is sorted. Especially the step that is currently held in place by a sewing machine.

He is also working on another collabo with a well known japanese denim brand (not IH though [emoji31]).

Just back from the "Denim Hang" at DC4 in collaboration with Rope Dye (the online magazine). Felt great to touch base with some familiar faces and get to know some new ones. Coolest jeans seen (my totally subjective view obviously) were the Rogue Territory ones worn by Victor from Texas, sort of guest of honour this evening. Disbelievingly saw the first Berlin snow flakes of the season falling through the window just before it was time to rush home again… brrrr!
