I am the minority (well, me and Tommy) who really didn't like Rogue One. The first half was just dull and badly put together, the second half was visually impressive but I really didn't care about any of the characters.

I liked Rogue One, but I think they pack too much in those two hours, so nothing gets fleshed out. There are too many characters and locations, and none is really explored in depth. On the other hand, I enjoyed the fact that there were new ships and armors. The movie was visually stunning and Disney took some risks with it (you'll see). The appearance of some ep. IV characters in CGI version is a first, and I expect it's going to become more and more common. Plenty of issues could come up around this. I'd put it with ep. IV and V overall, much better than VII.

Rogue One > Force Awakens for me too. Slightly darker/grittier and less reliant on the feelhood factor of the reintroduction of old characters. I'm not particularly a Star Wars fan but I liked this.

Two movies I highly recommend for very different reasons that I watched recently:
Hell or High Water -
- Because Texas bank robbers being hunted by a smart old sheriff played by Jeff Bridges is a recipe for success. Side note, the film is Oscar nominated.Gleason -
- Movies don't make me cry. This one made me cry like a baby. Possibly the best documentary I have ever seen. -
^I just watched that again recently. Great movie. I actually got to watch a couple of the scenes being filmed as it was filmed in the town I grew up in.

You are actually the 2nd forum member to mention this movie so I had to check it out. I hate you forum folks for making me watch this movie. Incredible journey those folks are on & strong isn't a good enough word to describe them.
