@Hoosier:
Here's a daily wearer from my ring collection - 1920's Ostby & Barton Buddha ring (sterling silver body with 10k gold elephants, sea horses, and dragon adornments).
Very nice mate. Where did you pick it up?
I do love the Ostby and Barton rings. They seem pretty difficult to get in the UK for some bizarre reason.

Thank you Cutlass - I snagged this one on ebay a few months ago. I agree with ya on their availability - O&B rings are even hard to find here in the states too. The great thing about their rings is the fact they made many in quite a few different styles and aesthetics back in the early 20th century.

Definitely a worthy purchase indeed. Plus I live the fact that it is almost a hundred years old!

@tmg:
Cool demon! What's that other ring?
Thanks mate.
The other is an old Vivienne Westwood one that I picked up at a sample sale about five or six years ago.

Thanks for the reply @louisbosco
Yeah I've noticed the prices have gopne through the roof. Must admit i'm a bit nervous about buying from Rakuten etc. Never sure of what i'm buying as there are so many fakes out there. If you ever want to move one on i'm your man -

@bertoni auc-overlap and rinkan are two stores i've been to in japan. i've even bought something online from them before. they're definitely legit. although currently, from what i tried to search on auc-overlap has stock for the medicine wheel. have a look a both of them.

@louisbosco Thanks for the links mate. Good to know there are some decent online sellers. I may wait until prices settle a bit though…them prices :o

yeah it's a tad over the top at the moment. it used to hover around the 400-500 mark but now it's anywhere in between the 600-700 mark. have the patience, wait it out and see how it goes! it's always the case with resellers, especially more now that goro san has passed.

It's official… products will be listed within the coming weeks, apparently.

What a shame.

it is a huge shame from where they've come from to what it is now. back in the days, i know very well that you'd simply can't get the item that you'd like simply because you want to buy it. i wonder if this is going to change from now on given the website. but then again, i wonder what's going on sale on the website to begin with..
it really takes away the excitement or mysterious aura surrounding the brand that makes people go back, to be able to one day be "allowed" to buy the item they want.

Picked this bracelet up from Stephen Webster sample sale yesterday for £50. Rhodium plated silver with lapis lazuli inlay.
