Hi all.
First post here. Long time reader, and been an Ironheart wearer for a few years now.
I've decided to take the plunge, and pick up a pair of these. This will be my first attempt at the 25oz. Currently I have a pair of 666-UHR with about 2.5 years wear, and a 555-03 with about 1.5 years wear.
Looking for some help on sizing. I am undecided between the tag size 30 or 31. My ideal waste measurement is about 31.5 inches (that's what my tag size 31" 666-UHR and tag size 30" 555-03 measure, with several washes each).
The 31" 25 oz. is listed as 31.6" waste measurement, which is pretty ideal; however I am worried about the stretch, if it stretches out another inch it may be a bit loose. Although from reading through the forum it sounds like there may be a small shrinkage and then to stretch out back to original size or a bit more.
Originally I was planning on the 30" tag size, with the 30.7" waste measurement, then a 1" stretch would make it ideal; however with the weight of the 25 oz. and from reading the forum I am now 2nd guessing this idea.
I also like the slightly larger thigh measurement on the tag size 31". My 666-UHRs measure 11.3" in the thigh, which is quite comfortable.
I will be wearing a belt with the jeans always, and assume this may help prevent too much stretch.
Any advice what the better waist size would be?
Really appreciate this forum and all the solid information available. I have always ordered the correct sizes in the past with jeans, shirts, and jackets thanks to the wealth of information here. But this 25 oz. sounds a bit scary, and has me second guessing my self.
Cheers.

I went closer to my actual size and wish I'd sized down. I notice very little shrinkage when I wash and they've stretched considerably. My other pairs all started at around 30.5 and stretched to about 31.25 which is comfortable. My XHS started at 31 and are closer to 32 now. These are not going to be a comfortable break in either way. Sacrifice a bit more and get a better final fit

@Sailor_eh send @Winchy an email with your size and they might have a pair closer to the actual measurements you want. I used to be really Gung-ho about getting the XHS to stretch. But now I like having extra room. I'm also older and considerably fatter than you are… so it depends on what you want.
I personally think this cut has a low rise and slim thigh so depending on how you prefer to wear your pants the next size up would give your butt a little extra coverage. The XHS has a very think union of seams on the the back below the waist and above the pockets. And this cut on me put is where it made my butt sore when I wore these too tight.Probably too much information...

Thanks @swiss-jeansfreak for posting these. Don't quite understand why the pics are not embedded in the post and only viewable as attachments…....technology is always tricky.
I quite like them, and trust @Seul feels he has advanced them into good -or at least appreciative- hands. Or onto such legs in this instance.Ruedi and I are in negotiations to possibly hand them over to him. If so, this will happen in the summer, until then, I will rock them, as I've done today again.

I'm glad to see these in action again. Post lots more pics in the meantime!

…and they're looking good on ya!
Thanks a lot Dion!!!
I love them a lot and would easily break them in for another 300-400 wear days.@501/IH:
I'm probably too stupid. I have no idea, why those pics are embedded and not visible directly@xtcclassic Yeah they deserve some more raw denim love and they should be updated then too

Hi
It's a special leather belt from the Heavy weight denim championship contest 2013-2015 which we could get over the organizer Gavin Smith aka @Megatron1505
He could tell you more about it since I forgot it.
I love this beautiful belt more and more
