Watches - another OCD problem
-
Picked up my first proper watch this month. I'd been lusting after the Nomos Metro for about the last year or so, trouble is the manual wound gangreserve model is so bloomin' hard to get hold of, even harder to find a bricks and mortar store with one in stock to try on.
I was worried that it might be a bit for my small wrists, hence wanting to find somewhere with it in stock, but I think the 37mm case works really well, even with the extension of the lugs.
Couldn't be happier with it, and couldn't resist taking a snap in the morning sunshine today.
I'm a bit concerned that @GingerMagician may have started something though. First Iron Heart, now watches!

Don't try to pin this on me @footandmaff - all your own work

There are well documented chapter ring alignment issues with this model that may niggle you if you get one that's not bang on @Giles (it would bother me). Worth buying in person if you can - you can see the one @Anesthetist has posted the pic of is quite a way off at 12 o'clock.
Having said that, at $250 (plenty less than I paid), it's a great watch either way. Looks great on the bracelet, a NATO or an Isofrane-style rubber strap (which is what mine's on).

Confessions of a Watch Geek is an article at the New Yorker magazine about how a writer got sucked in.
It's worth a read.

A good read that @Graeme
I'm sure most of those that frequent these parts, whether interested in watches or not, will recognise a lot of the symptoms displayed by the author…

I dropped into a watch shop on the way home today.
Cartier Diver's Watch with the blue dial. This looked really nice.
Vintage styled IWC chronograph. I don't know what the model is, but it had a really nice quilted strap.
36mm IWC Pilot, which I'm posting for @Anesthetist.
The Tag Heuer Connected Modular was only announced a few days ago, and it's already on sale. Only the basic watches were in stock, the bundles aren't out yet.
