IH-888-UHR - Indigo UHR 21/23oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut
-
@flavour79 Usual IH size for me is 31 but I ordered a size 32 in these to factor shrinkage. First UHR experience for me. Excited for these!

Do any of you that have experience with UHR know if the thighs will shrink at all? The description says the waist and inseam will shrink, but nothing about the thighs.
I always go by the rule I'll get about .3" or so on the thighs with unsanforized/loomstate denim. It's served me well so far.

Wow, well done on the dimensions for this! Awesome! I'd buy it immediately but I'm flying to China in a couple of days… hmm.... I'll have to google import duties to see if they can come meet me there
Whoever it was that wrote it was the best Iron Heart cut ever ... you're right!!

Pretty sure thats nearly everyone who owns the 888 cut so far.
Shout out to @Megatron1505 for his influence on the cut.

You mean being "under the influence" when the cut was born

What's the deal with the indigo arcuates by the way? It can barely be seen in the pictures, giving a bland look to the pockets. Standard arcuates are perfect…

I wasn't sold on the indigo arcuates until I saw these: https://imgur.com/a/5Vqrt
Looks great when they come in imo!

Wow! They're quite the hidden gem as they appear disappointingly invisible at first but appear very nicely after heavy wear

I seem to prefer the blue acurates as well

Got a question, lads…
In tag 36 these are 14.1" in the thighs, compared to 13.5" for the 888S. But these'll probably shrink to 13.5 or 13.6 after washing. But might stretch out again? (the thighs will certainly come under strain as my thighs push the limits of 14" thigh jeans)
So the question is, will these stretch out more in the thigh than the S version in time? Or will they be practically identical? Thanks

Denim will only stretch out as far as your body will stretch it. It's not like you will stretch one pair out to a measurement significantly more than another unless your body changes significantly.

Of course… I was just hoping of a comparison of the two fabrics involved, the UHR vs the classic IH weave. If the UHR can stretch back to where it started, it'll be bigger. Unless of course the 21oz stretches just as much...

Yeah thats cool.
I'm at the point with these where I know I'm going to break down and cop a pair so why not just do it now and get it over with. Why delay the inevitable right?
