SEXIH07IIIBK = Type III Modified Jacket (Long)

I would keep that if I was you. Looks spot on. I would imagine if you went smaller the arms would be too short.

Fit looks good imo. What's your height/weight?

Fwiw, the Ridgeline actually looks too small on you.

I used to have the Ridgeline in a large, which I just sold. I'm 5'11, 175lbs and the large fit me pretty well. I'm surprised you went with a medium because it looks way too small on you
I'd opt for the 42 in the IH type 3 like you did and I think that is the right fit for you based on your height and weight

Received the size 40 from SESF.
Really liking it, though it is pretty stiff. As I was asking some around here, I was wondering how black it actually would be compared to photos, and it's definitely a black jacket, but interested to see how the indigo comes through with time.
Pockets and extra-length are must-have for me, and do not disappoint.
Some pretty awful fit pics- I'm 5'10", about 175lbs, and wearing a thermal shirt and short-sleeve under this. I think the fit is ok, and was concerned that the sleeves would be a bit long for my short arms, but I can live with it…

Can I use anyone's time machine?

Can I use anyone's time machine?
that's an older model. the p2p is more like a medium rather than a large
-
^Agreed! We are currently in the third iteration of this jacket, with the original having come out the better part of a decade ago and the second iteration having released late 2014 I believe?

Glad to hear this, as my new one fits right at a Large, and I was having remorse for missing this one…

I am at a point (2+ years deep) where I feel like its time to wash my jacket in the machine. I have soa.ed a few times in cold water.
I am not usually concerned with washing denim, but this is my baby. Are there any thoughts or concerns around shrinkage doing this?
-
No, just turn it indsideout, soak first and then wash gentle without Spinning to be safe
-
pics of my type 3. soaked a few times over approx 2 years of ownership, but this is right after my first full wash. color is hard to capture- partially due to the fabric, but mostly due to my terrible photography skills. true color is closest to the one of the chest pocket.
wearing through one elbow and debating how to fix. just now starting to show its true character.
this jacket is amazing.

Send it to Indigo Proof and have her darn the elbow
