We know you love IH, but where do you think we can improve?
-
The only thing that could be improved on my IH-555-02 is pocket depth of the 5th pocket, it won't hold my small pocket knife in a nice way it pops out too far, it doesn't do just to the overall feel of these jeans. My next jeans would be XHSib and it has to be a 555 but the 5th pocket is really holding me back, besides availability of course

That pocket is meant for change. It’s a change pocket. If it was deep it would defeat its purpose. Easy reach for change without digging through a huge pocket.ive had jeans with a larger change pocket and it drove me nuts.

What’s change?
-
To use at the pay phone and juke box

Fun Fact on Harley-Davidson made jeans the change pocket is on the other side,to make it easier(Pre EZ Pass) to take out coins to pay a toll etc.,without having to let go of the throttle.
You mean they never got them to idle ::) ::)?
-
You still had to put the bike into neutral, not sure why or if having your hand on the throttle is relevant. Coin hoppers are always on the left.
Im thinking so your not using your right hand (twisting on your seat) to pay a kiosk on the left?

This afternoon I walked by a store and asked the owner what strange huge buckets with water they had in front of the store “it was meant for the horses of customers where the horses could drink while the owner did their groceries…”. But nobody rides their horses to the store any more, I replied. Good point was his reaction.
All jokes aside after this crisis the last 2% (no offense) of the population that still uses change won’t use it anymore because before you know it cash will be a thing of the past. So the 5th needs reinvention.

But iron heart does things classically. If the 5th pocket is a deal breaker for you then it’s a deal breaker.

Allow me to retort…. it’s a pocket designed to give quick easy access to small things. Small things are still in use the world over. 4 other pockets to put your knife in.

it's a great pocket for a zippo. that's where my lighter goes on all the jeans i have..

Yep, that is how I use mine too. Tight fit for my GAH zippo but works fine.

Watch pocket…

From our new glossary that @neph93 has been working on for us…
The standard number of pockets found on a pair of jeans, introduced in 1922 by Levis Strauss & Co. 5-pocket jeans include two back pockets, two front pockets, and a coin (or watch) pocket, typically found in and above the right-hand front pocket. Contrary to popular belief, the fifth pocket is, in fact, one of the two back pockets, which was introduced in 1905 (the coin pocket appeared in 1890).
