Watches - another OCD problem
-
Oh yes @Graeme .
I ask at local jeweller Jasper Watches in Erfordia for the GMT Master.
They told me a waiting time of about 20 years. For the submariners 5 to 10 years, that one with green bezel also about 20 years. That is crazy. ???
In former times in the German Democratic Republic you could wait for a car also 15 years or so. But they had lack of economy

One of my favourite jokes from when I spent a lot of time in the former Soviet bloc in the 90's.
The year is 1976.
Car salesman - The good news is that you have been granted permission by the Party to buy a Trabant
Customer - Great news, when will I be able to pick it up?
Car salesman - August 21st 1987
Customer - Morning or afternoon?
Car salesman - Why?
Customer - Well the phoneline is being installed in the morning….. -

That's beautiful, 1016 is the perfect watch imo, so much nicer than the current Explorer.
Here's one of my favourites, 36mm good for my noodle wrists. Sub-par denim from my pre-IH days!

Hodinkee have announced a limited edition with Blancpain, and they are teasing it with this image.
My guess is that it is likely to be a version of the Fifty Fathoms MilSpec, likely without a date window, as Hodinkee tend to delete these.
It is due to drop on 15th December, and will likely sell out soon after.

Domed sapphire bezel on those things is droolworthy.

I think it will come out with 38mm or 40mm & no date.

I may be a tad biased, but this IS the best version…..No argument....
I'd say without a doubt you are correct! I have always loved those!
