Photograph and Camera talk

Full disclosure…It's a pet photography project of mine called Reflections in Chrome. I've been working on it for about 7 years. This year thanks to the pandemic there were no car shows, so I've been going through some old files. If you search on IG for #reflectionsinchrome the majority of the pictures are mine. @goosehd

It's interesting how the mountain seems to have an aura around it. It almost looks like a painting. ???

Oh good, it's not just me seeing shit again.

I was pretty low to the ground when I shot this which enabled me to get the rock in the foreground. Used a 16-35 Wide angle lens on a Canon 5D Mark 3. The editing software I use is called DXO. The main thing I added/brought out was the blue in the sky, which otherwise would have been a pretty flat gray.

That’s cool @Jett129 . I’ve generally been lazy about exploring post-processing possibilities but seeing successful outcomes may prod me into trying them. Well done

Thank you,it comes from the fact that in the days before color film, people would hand colorize select parts of the B&W images. Now through the wonders of Photoshop it’s much easier. If you search on #selectivecolor on Instagram there are some really, really cool shots. I also think that once you do this it elevates the image a little closer to being “Art”,which is something I struggle with.
