i think the best option for fitting/advice/accessories is to stick with the 'traditional gentlemens outfitters'

the other shops don't have the knowledge . . . but do have the on trend stuff - vibrams soles etc

My true size: 9.5 US
My Alden True Balance size: 9 US
My Tricker's Stow size: 8.5 UK (9 US)

I think we're the same size so that should work for you too.

I've been emailing back & forth with Richard from The Shoe Healer (who has been very helpful btw) regarding the sizing of the Stow boot. Brannock devices put me at a US 11C, my only proper dress shoes, a pair of Florsheim Kenmoors, are a US 11D, and my Clarks DBs are a US 10.5. Richard says could wear a 9.5 or 10, fitting 5, depending. Anyone here have advice that might sway me one way or the other?  Thanks!
