Samples - New Products We Are Working On

Calling @Cutlasshound
Couple of pics of the sample for the previous iteration of the IHM-34.
As per previous post, obvious key difference between this sample and the upcoming FW21 design is the fact that my iteration has a quilted lining.
Fabric is a super practical 7.5oz paraffin coated cotton. I would be interested to know if the upcoming version also used the paraffin coated cotton. Had not experienced this fabric before and I have been thoroughly impressed with it. It is very wind and water resistant and it has kept me secure from the elements on a number of rugged walks throughout the British weather over the last six months.
One of the things I love most about Iron Heart is the eye of evolution when executing a design. Unlike repro brands, Haraki-San is never afraid of taking something and (in my opinion at least) making it better. For example:
-
The IH M-65 is so much more well thought out than the RMC version through the introduction of additional pocket configurations. I am lucky enough to own both an IH and an RMC version and if I had to pick, the IH version wins. No contest.
-
This version of a fishtail parka dispenses with the epaulettes seen on the M-1951 (huge plus imo) and also introduces two chest pockets, which I have found to be particularly useful in wet weather.
All in all a bloody glorious coat.
Apologies for the shit pics and the fact that haven’t had a haircut for four months!

Also, the Hardware, For example, the large and rugged YKK easy pull zippers, often 2-way on the jackets and the well sown, large buttons or big sturdy poppers. Subtle details that make the coats a pleasure to wear and own.

When was the last time y'all did something like this in denim?
-
@Giles NICE. Can you say what denim?
-
Damn that's good, @Giles. Will there be an option for multiple hardware choices? Or will it be as-is?
-
17oz could be cool for sure. Seems like a lot of chore coats I've seen are classically lighter denim, so maybe even the 14oz could work. As much as I like heavyweight, I'd almost like something like this to lean light.
EDIT: looking at the 17oz fades on the forum, that denim would be probably be spot-on. Nice vintage look, perfect for a chore coat.
