What's the difference between the Lot 66 and the 66XX please? Any idea?

The top block fits very nicely indeed! And no way would I get them hemmed. Not only does the double cuff look fine, but you often sell your used jeans -not uncommonly to me… :)- and will both increase their resell-value AND make the purchaser happier by leaving their inseam as it is.

Flash is right. The denim on the 66XX weighs about 14-14.5 oz whereas the standard 66 model weighs 13oz.
The 66XX aslo has a leather patch (but is still only printed with '66').From what I know (although I'm not so well versed with the newish Denime) the 66XX and 66 also have different cuts. The 66XX has a lower rise and slimmer.
In the old time under Shins, Orizzonti both cuts were the same

Brilliant thanks! Not much information out there about this brand.

I always look forward to your posts. You have such an amazing array of top notch Japanese denim. Thanks for educating me on several of the great denim houses I knew nothing about.

You are more than welcome
My collection condensed to fewer brands these days but I'm always happy to show some "new" stuff. -
And another pair of Denime XX-type. This one is a deadstock pair from the Shins-era so at least 13 years old. Again a Yahoo Auction find.
Paired with a Denime Type2 jacket (also from Shins and made also from XX denim)

Nice buys and a classic look ️️️

Thanks mate. Can't go wrong with one of the Osaka5

Some more details of the Denime XX pair from above. Turns out they are from the Orizzonti era so at made in the 90s or early 2000s.

Was Denime in the big Levi suit?

Good question, I honestly don't know
But I think it was more targeted at brands that had also arcs (also AFAIK the red tab is not a registered trademark in Japan so it's ok to use it there).
Furthermore, there were only very few shops outside of Japan carrying Denime at that time (I can only think ofTake5 in Hong Kong) and now Son of a Stag is also somehow carrying the brand.I do remember, Denime produced overseas models in the late 90s or so and those had blue or black tabs. But never had arcs.

One of the rarer Denime models, a repro (so a Leepro) of the 101-B. Given the crotch rivet, these are likely a 1948 model or so. Found them deadstock, they were likely to be made between 1998 and 2004.
