WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY (PICS)

Yep…beginning to look quite crowded in there. However their feathers look quite inmature/brownish/mottled, suggesting flight # 1 is still a ways. I’d expect more colourful feathers for initial flights…are their parents colourful/iridiscent feathered?
I find your tracking of this nest fascinating @Matt ; hope I don’t tire you with my questions. Great job, and thank you for sharing it!! -

While on a break from a conference at Helsinki's Theatre Academy, I dropped by Pinkomoi, really good selection of IH stuff for all you Europeans. First pic is Theatre Academy atrium, then Pinkomo, then some impressive fish at the Hakaniemi market where I ate cinnamon rolls and Keralian pastry

We had a little family day which started at Drunken Fish for sushi
DF is awesome and always fresh despite being in the midwest, ok it’s not like cali fresh but still good.
It’s down the street from the World Chess Hall of Fame which is surprisingly beautiful. No pics inside today but we did take a few with the world’s largest chess piece. Incidentally they had a hard to find chess set which I’ve pined for, for years and my wife finally let buy it
We finished our trip with the Pulitzer Arts Foundation museum which is in a Tadao Ando building which fucking brilliant. They had pieces from Yoko Ono and Franz Walther. It was really great to see.

@Anesthetist Looks like a awesome day and love your new chess set! Congratulations
-
@Anesthetist that is a beautiful chess set! Worth waiting for, definitely. Would you mind sharing some info on it? I would be interested in ordering one for myself. Thanks

Sending you a DM, but it’s a sculptural set by Man Ray. The original set is owned by the MOMA.

I love those Richard Serra spirals — so fun and disorienting when you walk into them

…'whimsical' is the word that came to mind.
...love the Chess Set, wow! My set is a little bit more traditional. Enjoy playing, my first five moves are by and large the same then I wing it. ::)

Removing this death trap lower deck so I can have that gum tree removed. I was wearing some Sugarcane Okinawas but summer heat started slapping g.
