WAKE UP AND COFFEE

Looks like a tasty shot, @Mike_Lima_Papa
Great mug too! I think I need to go get a companion for my 20th anniversary mug… -
Last good morning coffee shot of the year. Enjoy the weekend and have good start into the new year, folks!
Looking forward to a 2023 full of Coffee nerd talk with all of you.

Pipo brought me the last “Bike” mug they had at IH Germany. Priceless!

What a collection!

Got pretty heavily into home espresso about 10 years ago with a more modest setup. We left the city and missed the good coffee so I upgraded a little while back. Refurbed an ex-commercial Super Jolly also which feels like it’ll last forever.
Pretty simple workflow, no single-dosing or bean freezing or WDT and we tend to favour med-dark South American roasts.

Nice equipment^

Beautiful setup, and lovely photography!

Thanks.
Cut my teeth on a Gaggia Classic, Rancilio Silvia and a Bianca before it and the LM is an absolute treat to own and use.
-
Don't shame me but my favorite coffee is Folgers black silk, cheap and delicious!

My trusty Quickmill QM67 and Niche grinder. Using Caffe Lusso Gran Miscela Carmo beans for the last 2 years… and probably will continue to, until they stop making it. Cortados and Capps most mornings, and an occasional afternoon double shot. Cheers!!

Morning cappuccino in a earthenware mug from Japan. I’m pretty sure it’s not handmade, but made to look like it….
Attaching some picture of the kanji script… anyone here read Kanji and might be able to interpret?
-
I should add that I bought this mug in 2009 at a Japanese home goods department store. A step above Target… but a step below Williams Sonoma… if that makes sense.
-
Can’t help you figure out the Kanji, but what a beautiful mug that is @Autorotate
Americano for me today:

Handmade Japanese tea mug repurposed for my morning cappuccino. Have a great day, y’all!!
