My two weeks is up today and I feel 100% so we decided to check out Hot Springs.  It’s definitely a different kind of park.  The town of Hot Springs was built around the natural springs so Bathhouse Row's a big feature…

Here’s Superior Bathhouse, the only brewery located inside a National Park…

Hot Springs is considered by many to be the first USNP.  It was not the first to be officially designated as one by name, but was the first land to be set aside for preservation by the federal government.  The bathhouses were very popular spa resorts in the 19th century.

Wow, that architecture, a real mix of beautiful influences…..

Apart from the giveaway Stars n Stripes, I would not have guessed most of those buildings were in The USA....

Oh, and whoops, many congrats with getting through your 14 days, and feeling good....

The average temp of these open springs is 134 F.

Before the springs were capped off for regulation and commercial use water cascaded down the mountain and the entire area was engulfed in steam.  Pretty wild.

Camp mugs aren’t just perfect for morning coffee.  Evening pizza wine fit in them too…

In Little Rock today.  Lots to see, like the Historic Museum that has the oldest building in Little Rock… a bar...

The Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site.  I won’t do this one justice so please look it up if you aren’t familiar.  The Little Rock 9 helped to desegregate schools here.  Totally worth the trip if you’re in town…

The school was built  in 1927 and cost $1.5 mil. It was named "America's Most Beautiful High School" by the American Institute of Architects.  The school for the black students did not earn similar accolades…
