IH-777-XHSBB - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super-Slim Tapered Cut Jeans - Black/Black
-
I just might have to get second pair of these soon. I'm liking how my first pair has started to break in. Only issue I have is that my right leg has twisted and sets my OCD off a bit.
-
Thanks @neph93. I wore them to work today and was pretty happy with the fit.
They are the same fabric at the base, but different dyeing techniques involve different processes and that will change the hand of the fabric noticeably. On traditional indigo jeans only the warp is dyed, and the weft bleached. Here you have two different dyeing processes, one with sulphur, and one with reactive pigment. That creates quite an effect.

Thanks Giles
These are my second pair of XHS. They seem to be slightly lighter in weight and thinner than 777-XHS. Are they two different types of fabrics?
Same weight yarns, obviously different dyeing process

@Filthy I'm enjoying them quite a bit that I bought the 555 fit as well. This is the first wash and has had 3 soaks. Unsure about the other 25oz but I believe this denim has a little more give to them because of the dying treatment. Giving them a break through the summer because I'm going with the 55519ib.
-
That's awesome. Do they have a soft hand or is it rough?
-
@Filthy They feel very similar to my 10 month old 21od(not sure if that helps). They're more soft hand than scratchy or stiff, no more standing on their own. Haha hopefully this helps.
-
Yes, I was wondering if it is similar to the regular XHS or XHSib. THANKS

…added the XHS-777BB to the mix (unfortunately I placed the order a few days before the sale :'().
...these are almost exactly the same measurements as my XHS-555's size 35 (777's are size 36).
...I love my XHS-888BB's but I decided I needed a more rock & roll fit pair of black jeans so I pulled the pin. I won't be as cavalier with washing these as I was with my 888BB's to avoid the marbling I wound up with. They do not disappoint and now I have 4 distinctly different Iron Heart cuts that lucky for me all fit great, just different!
...shout out to @Kasi, I had to laugh thinking of his 'plumber's butt' comments because the low rise probably isn't for everyone but these baby's fit great right out of the bag!
…now for the break-in process!
-
Hallelujah to no plumbers crack @vaquero357 your fit looks look perfect. Know what you mean about the marbling with washing this denim. My pair ended up with prominent lines running up the legs where they folded in the washing machine ::) what will your washing regime be with these?
-
…Hey Rox! Since these are literally spot on 'Slim Rockers' it's going to be warm soaks and hang dry for these babies! Not going to risk it. :o
...and in order to have plumbers butt you first have to have a butt!
...and since I kind of screwed up my 888's I'm just gonna treat 'em like @spitfiredealer treats his! Gonna ride 'em like the nickel pony in front of the drugstore!
-
Do it! They will probably end up being your favourite pair after some not giving a fuck

Nothing like the personal connection you make with your jeans in the tub with the hands on treatment
-
…Spinal Tap Black! None blacker!
-
Darkness squared !
-
…can't go wrong with that procurement @Oaktavia! Love the pair I picked up.
…just be gentle with your soak/wash/dry plan, the BB can get 'marbling' if approached recklessly as in my case with my XHS-888BB's. ::)
-
@vaquero357 K gotcha thanks for the tip, maybe I won't machine wash them then. Should I stick to the tub wash only? I'm going to try and see how long I can go after an initial hot soak but I'm not totally sure if it is needed yet…depends on how they fit. If they are feeling good straight out of the bag I might skip it.
