I'm stoked to hear you are loving the 14oz denim @TeflonDon ! It's one of the toughest denims on the market bar-none. perfect for a work pant like these for sure!

Mine arrived Saturday, what a great pair of jeans, fit and fabric are dreamy.
Going to send back to the stubborn crew for a hem but going to bash them around for a week or so first.
Well done Adam @Appfaff for throwing down the gauntlet.

@bryaneidins - dude, you aced that fit brother! Looks bomb with the cuffs and Vans!

I hope these do brilliantly. (I'm going to have to wait a month…finances, arghh.) And then I hope they also turn up in the new slubby down the line. These are great.

Is the cinch functional for say .5” in either direction?
-
You could probably do 4", but it would look bloody messy.
Same as any of the other 14oz jeans, so about an inch.

Hey Bud, .5" is easily doable. The cinch sits flush brand new, and the waist will stretch about 1" or so, with the hips relatively the same % of initial measure. The cinch can be used to essentially "take out" the stretch after it happens, or you can size slightly baggy and cinch harder for a more repro style fit. I have my cinch let out to standard trim, but once the seat stretches a bit, I plan to give it about a 1/4-1/2" cinch to get that "heritage pleated" look along the yoke that a lot of cool WW2 trousers get with the cinch.
Hope that helps!

Exactly what I intend to hopefully do with mine.
