IHSH-222-IND - 5oz Selvedge Cotton Linen Chambray Work Shirt - Indigo
-
I already have the ihsh-21-blu and its unfortunately just a bit too tight in the chest. It's also so thick I struggled to wear it at all in the warmer months.
I was wondering if this shirt is great for summer/spring, thinner and lighter? I've got 21oz and 14oz IH denim and the 21oz breathes better and is somehow more comfortable in the hotter months. The lighter denim is tightly woven, is there a similar thing going on here?
If someone else has the 2 of these and can compare the 10oz to 6oz that would be awesome?
Cheers

Just arrived this past week.

Very nice @konadog but untucked takes top honors.

Will there be a restock of the short sleeve or the western in this fabric?

This arrived today. It's really nice. The material is quite to my liking with the some of the irregularities of linen. If you live in a hot climate this is a must have shirt! If this was brought back in red next season it'll be an instant buy for me.

Picked up one of these over the holidays for the hot California weather.
The shirt is bittersweet for me - the fabric and fit is great but the button placket is a major disappointment.
Wether it is due to the linen or the size of the buttonholes, the buttons just won't stay in place.
The holes become loose after a day and the shirt won't stay buttoned.
Never had this issue with any of my IH shirts.
If the button placket were thicker or reinforced this wouldn't happen as far as I can tell. -
The button issue is present in all of the lightweight Iron Heart button up shirts I own. Either the button size needs to increase or the hole needs to be smaller. Definitely a big bummer considering the price.

Yeah I agree, for that price this should not be an issue, especially not from a brand like Iron Heart that has a reputation of making sturdy over engineered garments.
Pretty major bummer to be honest.

If I'm not mistaken, this is a known issue and will be taken into consideration in future production runs… by increasing button sizes by 1mm if my memory serves me well enough?
Given typically slimmer body types, it is apparently a non-issue in IHs native Japan, but I agree that small changes could benefit the growing western customer base. I am often left frustrated by the buttons on my 9oz flannel
