Ultra Heavy Raw (UHR), AKA 21/23oz Denim
-
no doubt!
-
shrinkage is consistent with UHR it's not brain surgery
I'd be willing to bet there are brain surgeons who have trouble sizing raw denim [emoji14]
I audibly chuckled at this

Mine shrank like 4”. But the water was cold. Oh wait… wrong group.

So you're saying that UHRs are growers, not showers?

So now I am having total FOMO. Bought a pair of XHS (which I am loving already!!!) but y’all keep preaching the specialness of this UHR fabric. So of course my left eye is starting to twitch and I’m having flashbacks of never asking Melissa Lane out in 4th grade.
If I pass on this run of UHR, how long until it comes back through? Every few years or so??

I'll take a 634, no questions asked…

I'm counting the days. Well, abstractly, since we don't have a day to count to yet

I'm in a similar position here, but I'm currently breaking in a pair of XHSib and have an unworn pair of XHS hanging in my closet that I'm going to break in this fall. Regardless, I'd still like another pair of heavyweight IHs (crazy, I know :D), but the UHR's extreme lack of breathability might be an issue for me. I might opt for a pair of 19Ls instead.

@Daniel San @popvulture Here are some measurements from a pair of 777-UHR I had. Sold them bc they were too big so Im afraid the info won't be too useful for stretch. You can get get an idea how much shrink is possible with hot washes/machine drying.
