Fantastic news. All cuts? What sort of weight?
-
Billed as 14 but the way he have woven is that it is super dense to give it a dark face so it feels more like 17oz. Traditional broken twill denim is woven under very high tension to give it a smooth face, ours is woven with lower tension in the earl to give the face plenty of character.
All cuts would be the plan…..

I only had to wait twelve years for Haraki to warm up to the idea…
(or is this one of those things he doesn't like, but decided to do because you convinced him it could work in the international market?)

He's very proud of it, but I am not sure he entirely likes it…..Undecided whether he will sell in Japan. I asked him once (when you came up with the original idea), I got zero response, so did not ask again.
I was only musing 2 days ago how much I would like to see an IH broken twill, but that it was unlikely to happen. Then he slammed that on the table yesterday.
Someone at the meeting said that it is like he is in my mind, and knows when I am about to ask for something "outrageous" and beats me to the question by showing me before I can open my mouth.....

Super photos, and history lesson. Thanks.

This reminds me of how he felt about the double indigo. Luckily, that worked out ok and he seemed to warm to it eventually.

Don’t know what it was, but it’s a Chinese restaurant now
Edit - Googled it….
Very cool! Mentholatum — I see the word and I get tingly haha…
