Indigo Invitational Y3

Ah ok , so nothing serious
-
left my old pair ( around 200 wears and lots of washes) right my pair now with around 110 wears , no wash !
-
@Daniel San great comparison. Does the older pair still have that textured, crunchy feeling to it?
@Jcaz6996 your pair is looking phenomenal!
-
777N 4 month mark. 4 washes.
-
@RoxRocks86
My old pair is pretty soft, but different to 21 oz . As you said the surface is a bit textured and after a wash is still
really crunchy for the first 2-3 hours wearing.
Your pair looks awesome Roxy , love the combs and colour.One of my favorite fades is your 21oz 777, absolutely epic pair !! Bought a pair 777 21oz an went through
the complete thread and found your pics . Stunning -
Thanks @RoxRocks86 your pair looks great definitely taking shape. You not gone with turning up the cuffs ?
My 1907’s are rubbing through my cuffs quick front and back didn’t have that problem last year must be the extra length not getting them hemmed. -
I get all my jeans hemmed since I had the same problems with cuffs.
And just got the message that my XHS 777 are back from hemming -
Nothing comparable to the others in terms of fades, but I'm making very slow progress.

@the246guy
Don’t worry, they will end up really awesome!
The honeycombs looking great !
Love the pigeon tree belt -
Great pair @the246guy love XHSib fades will come slowly but surely wearing them every day?
Wore mine last week in the evening feel so nice to put on super soft. -
I was in Paris last week to catch the Tour de France. It was so warm and dry that I did not have the chance to wear it for about a week, but otherwise this was my only pair since the start of the Y3.

Right on! Glad I could be of assistance to keeping your piggy bank lightweight What’s your thoughts so far on the 21oz???

My 1907’s are rubbing through my cuffs quick front and back didn’t have that problem last year must be the extra length not getting them hemmed.I tend to cuff or uncuff depending on footwear.
You gonna send them in for repair or just keep them going as is for the rest of the comp? I’m curious to know, are you noticing the same wear patterns as your previous invitational pair?
-
@RoxRocks86 no hoping to get them repaired in September.
No different wear patterns mainly because last year being a noob not doing a initial soak and just wearing them for 6 months before soaking them . The FR & rear Rise must be different as XHS fit a lot better XHSib are a bit tighter in the crotch so wore that out , no problem with XHS apart from the cuffs.With doing a initial soak with this years pair I put them on damp walking around the house up and down the stairs they formed patens that stuck when they dried.
I soaked 555s- UHR Sunday so starting wearing them after work tempted to start rotating the both pairs and start wearing them to work what do you think?
-
@Jcaz6996 Have you measured and compared how different the rise between your XHS and XHSib’s are?
I wear denim while they’re damp to set in combs and whiskers as well. But mostly for lightweight denim. I find that they don’t hold their shape as readily (or fast enough to my liking) as heavier denim and definitely did that with the N’s at the beginning of the comp. It kind of gives me peace of mind seeing how they might possibly evo, lol.
As for your idea on adding UHR’s to your rotation, how many days a week do you think you’ll wear them? You’re quite active and your line of work is ideal for great fades so it’s not like your comp pair will remain stagnant in the fade department. Take what I’m saying with a grain of salt as I can’t honestly wear the same denim every day for a year, but imo, having an additional pair to wear will 1. keep the itch of wanting to wear something else (UHR in this instance) at bay, 2. Help with the longevity of your XHS, 3. It’s no secret you’d fade UHR like a badass & we want to see it! Of course no pressure
-
I haven’t measured them I’ll take a look over the weekend
My XHS are gross now 110% washing them on the weekend they even feel disgusting to put on.
think if I was go start wearing them I would continue until I see progress with them or I continue with the XHS and throw the UHR on the weekends and evenings.
Just bought 555s-19L too -
think I will wash my pair for the first time too ::)
they are pretty dirty and a bit sticky after 4 month -
ok last pictures before the first wash.
gave them a 1 hour soak before they went into the machine. 30 degrees special jeans program with 400rpm spin and extra flush to make sure all washing powder is gone.
-
ok, that’s how they look now . Little disappointed, thought the combs would look more significant after the first wash. The patch got pretty dark and that with only 30 degrees washing temperature. waist shrink was pretty much , didn’t expect that. I had problems to close the top button But I am sure it stretches back in just a couple hours.
What do you think ?

@Daniel San nice vintage Fades
