IH-666S-UHR - 21/23oz Ultra Heavy Raw Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans

…in the 'raw' game. :o Soak, wash and measure this weekend.
...loyal XHS'er but I resigned myself to a UHR after reading the back story on the production of this material, looks and feels just as hardcore as the XHS denim.
...whether tag size 35 or 36 I'm always looking for a minimum 36.5 waist measurement and with this pair I asked the crew to go with tag 35 and look for the largest waist measurement which was 36.9. The 666 cut is a hugger in the top block and I wanted them to be comfortable right out of the gate...and they are.
-
…one hour hot soak, gentle machine wash warm and overnight hang dry. My first non-XHS.
-
@vaquero357 spot on fit man. I hope mine look that good after the soak&wash. Unfortunately I have to wait for the right time to slide these into the rotation with as little fanfare as possible…and I think most of us can relate to this predicament.
-
@vaquero357 great man! And I like the boots a lot. What are these?
-
That’s a perfect fit, @vaquero357 Wear them well!
-
Boom @vaquero357 is one of those dudes that looks good in every IH cut.
-
…@jerkules and I don't know if its a blessing or a curse! :o I definitely found my 'denim' home.

Saw @Oaktavia ‘s pair of UHR jorts on ig & everything in life just….clicked. The lights were on, stars were aligned & the dots were all connected which meant that pulling the trigger on a pair meant it was meant to be. Being so confident in a pair is so rare that I just had to get ‘um. All thanks go to @Bailey for making sure i didn’t chop em too short & that I got the measurements I wanted.
Didn’t think they’d work out as the 1st & 2nd cold soak + hot wash + tumble dry didn’t get much in terms of shrinkage, but here’s the end result. I’m surprised they didn’t shrink in the inseam as much as others have recorded, but I’m guessing it’s due to the amount that was initially chopped.
Measurements Raw >1’st soak/Warm Wash/Dryer >2nd Soak/Hot Wash/Dryer
Waist - 14.25” > 13.75” > 13.5”
Thigh - 10.8” > 10.5” > 10.4”
F.Rise - 9.75” > 9.5” > 9.3”
R. Rise - 14” > 13.5” > 13/5”
Inseam - 6” > 5.75” > 5.75”
Hem Opening - 8.5” > 8.5” > 8.5”After the 2nd soak + hot wash fit pics

Heck yeah Rox they look fantastic on you and I have to admit I think the hemming looks better on yours than my 80s style cutoffs do on me! I'd imagine with frequent wear and washes/time, these will look stellar when they fade and lighten up in color. Well done dude!
Edit: also that belt is aging super nicely. I have one that is almost the same but rough'd out. Makes me want to rock it more.
