These have tonal arcs, right?
-
Would you suggest same waist as normal, but add a couple inches to hem?
Or by a size up and do a pre soak?

…needed another pair of UHR and it was between the 555 and the 777cuts, went with the 555. Like 'rocker' pants. Super Slim Fit is kinda 'youth-anising'!
...1 hour hot soak, delicate wash warm and hang dry. All stitching set.
…love me some UHR, great stuff.

I got the tag 30 and after washing lost about 1 inch on the waist but after one wear was back to the original size. My conclusion? It evens itself out.

Awesome! How did you size compared to your other denim?

So I received a pair of these today in tag size 33 and the waist fits loose before soaking. Based upon the measurements I've taken vs my well worn pair of 21oz 634s I think the waist will be perfect after losing about 1" from a hot soak and wash.
The question is, if the waist fits perfectly after soaking/washing will it stretch out to being too big again even if not under much tension? If so I might need to return and grab a size 32 which is my usual tag. I sized up hoping for an easier break-in period figuring they wouldn't stretch much.

@Visceral The shrink that you get out of the UHR's will stretch back out in the waist…the length will not (nor will the thighs/calves - unless they are under constant tension).
How does the rest of the jean fit? Loose, Tight, Perfect?
I'd say there's a good bit of room everywhere in the top block (most of all the waist) but the legs fit well from the thigh down definitely enough room for some shrink but not too much that its baggy.

I think you should seriously consider going down a size. After I shrank my 888uhr it was a real motherfucker to get them buttoned up but after a not very long break in period they are quite comfortable because they stretched out to a little beyond where I started per-soak.
