IHSH-350-IND - 10oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo
Our classic western shirt, constructed from an indigo rope dyed warp and a grey weft, woven in a 2x1 twill, which creates a fabric reminiscent of early Works Inc. style fabrics. As this denim ages and the indigo rope dye leeches from the fabric, the grey weft becomes more prominent on the face of the denim, it will fade with a more muted tone than you will see with the more common white weft.

The photos don't do this shirt justice, probably because it's more of a complimentary piece than a standout piece. It looked much better on Adam in the video, paired with the rest of his wardrobe. This shirt will go great with just about any non-indigo/gray jeans, in large part because it will avoid the Canadian tux look.

Another must have.

This close to fully checking out and purchasing this piece when I noticed that the option to upgrade the snaps was not available. I did see the 'upgrade buttons' option which made me question if the shirt had any buttons to begin with. Upon further examination, I noticed that the shirt did indeed have a button (at the neckline) while the rest were the usual snaps I'm accustomed to with the IH westerns.
Is this by design?
Thanks,

There’s not a lot of chatter on this so I’ll just say I got mine and it is a quite beautiful shirt! Lightweight with an ineffable feeling of old world quality to the fabric. Reminds me a bit of some of my favorite fabrics from mister freedom / sugar cane or vintage navy trousers. Could see layering it over a sweatshirt or turtleneck well into autumn.

I love my 352 10oz OD shirt and noticed this in the outlet… does anyone out there have a beat up one to show how it ages?
-
@DeeDee85 I havent worn it a ton but so far its a slow fader, its aging more like one of my darker chambray shirts than a 12oz denim shirt for example. The blue is starting to pop out a little more with a couple washes.
This or the work shirt at their outlet price are a great deal. Its a versatile shirt, more like a midcentury workwear fabric that happens to look like denim.

@nytimes_gaiden that’s a great write up, thank you very much! I might give this a go then, I know the lighter weight shirts don’t seem to get much love but my 352 is my most worn IH shirt. A slow fader also but starting to come to life now. Would love to see a couple of progress pics if you get chance?
